Warnings
Electric Shock
Do not open the casing to avoid electric shock. Leave repairs to a qualified professional.
Rotating Fan
Keep body parts away from the fan.
Seizure Due to Light Stimuli (Photosensitive Epilepsy)
If you have epilepsy or a history of seizures, consult your doctor before using the console. Some people may experience seizures when exposed to flashing or flickering lights, or geometric patterns in their environment. This can be triggered by hidden epilepsy, and may cause seizures while playing video games or watching video content.
Immediately stop using the console if you experience any of the following health problems or symptoms when exposed to flashing or flickering lights, or other light stimuli while playing video games or watching video content:
- Eye pain
- Changes in vision
- Migraine
- Muscle twitching or convulsions
- Other involuntary movements
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Disorientation
- Loss of consciousness
Also, immediately stop using the console if you experience any of the following symptoms:
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Fatigue
- Symptoms similar to motion sickness
- Discomfort or pain in a part of your body (e.g., eyes, ears, hands, arms) while playing.
If these symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
Radio Waves
Radio waves may interfere with the operation of electronic devices or medical devices (such as pacemakers), potentially causing malfunction or injury.
- If you use a pacemaker or other medical device, consult your doctor or the manufacturer of your medical device before using wireless network functions (Bluetooth® or wireless LAN).
- Do not use wireless network functions in the following locations:
- Places where wireless network use is prohibited, such as hospitals. Comply with the regulations of any healthcare institution where you use the console.
- Near fire alarms, automatic doors, and other automatic equipment.
Magnets
These products contain magnets that may interfere with the operation of pacemakers, defibrillators, programmable shunt valves, or other medical devices. Do not place these products near such medical devices or persons using them. If you use such medical devices, consult your doctor before using these products.
Headsets and Headphones
Listening at high volumes with a headset or headphones (not included) can cause permanent hearing damage. Set the volume to a safe level. Over time, sounds that sound normal may actually be damaging to your hearing. If you experience ringing in your ears, discomfort in your ears, or muffled speech, stop using the headset/headphones and have your hearing checked. The louder the volume, the sooner your hearing may be affected.
Lithium-Ion Batteries
Do not handle damaged or leaking lithium-ion batteries. If battery fluid leaks, do not continue to use the device and contact technical support. If the fluid gets on your clothing, skin, or in your eyes, rinse the affected area immediately and consult a doctor. Battery fluid can cause blindness.

Wireless Network Function
- The console's wireless network function uses the 2.4 GHz (WLAN, Bluetooth®) / 5 GHz (WLAN) bands. The 2.4 GHz radio wave band is used by many devices. The console is designed to minimize the impact from the use of other devices. However, in some cases, interference from other devices may reduce connection speed, shorten signal range, or cause unexpected connection interruptions.
- Use in the 5150-5350 MHz band is restricted to indoor use only.
- When using the console's network search function to select a wireless access point, non-public access points may be visible. Only use access points that you are authorized to use, or that are available through public wireless networks or hotspot services.
