CANOR AI 2.10 Integrated Hybrid Amplifier User Manual
Dear Music Lover, thank you for purchasing our CANOR AI 2.10 Integrated Hybrid Amplifier. To preserve and maintain the best characteristics of your amplifier, we recommend you carefully read the following lines.
Safety Instructions
- Read the instructions – all safety information and instructions should be read before using the amplifier.
- Keep the user manual – the safety and user instructions manual should be stored for possible later use.
- Follow the instructions – all safety and user instructions should be followed.
- Water and moisture – the AI 2.10 amplifier should not be placed near water, for example near bathtubs, swimming pools, kitchen sinks, etc...
- Accessories – do not use accessories not recommended by the manufacturer.
- Placement – do not place a device on an unstable pad. The device may fall, which can cause serious injuries to children or adults, as well as damage to the device. Use only pads or racks recommended by the manufacturer or pads sold to dealers with this device. Any placement of the device should be in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and only accessories recommended by the manufacturer should be used.
- Ventilation – the unit should be placed the way to ensure proper airflow. That means it is not allowed to place the amplifier on a sofa, or on upholstered furniture. The amplifier may not be covered over when in operation; it would otherwise prevent proper airflow around the vent holes of the amplifier.
- Heat – amplifier must be placed to avoid the heating effect from heat sources, for example, radiators or stoves, or other heat-producing equipment. The distance from the back wall of the unit may not be less than 20 cm, and 20 cm above the area of AI 2.10 may not be any barrier. Alongside the unit should be ensured 20 cm minimum distance from other objects.
- Power source – the device must be connected only to a main supply for what it is designed for.
- Power cord – it is necessary to pay particular attention to a power cord, it must be positioned to avoid setting foot on it and ensure it is protected against mechanical damage.
- If you do not use the amplifier for a longer period – you should disconnect the power cord from the mains supply, or at least turn off the main power switch located on the back panel.
- Objects containing liquid – do not place these objects (vases, flowerpots), so that they can fall on the amplifier and, eventually, prevent the liquid from being leaked out on the amplifier.
- Damages requiring service – equipment should be repaired only by qualified service if:
- The power cord is damaged.
- The device dropped into the water or was poured.
- The device was exposed to rain.
- The device works incorrectly.
- The device fell on the ground or is otherwise mechanically damaged.
- Repairs – all repairs must be entrusted to a qualified service.
- General warning – use the device only in accordance with this user guide.
The manufacturer declines any liability should these safety measures not be observed. To help you avoid an electric shock, do not expose the amplifier to rain or moisture!

Front Panel
Description of controls:
- VOLUME KNOB: Amplifier volume control knob.
- POWER: Turning on and off the amplifier.
- MUTE: An instant muting of the volume. Subsequent pressing results in default volume.
- DIMM: Sets the display brightness in steps. From a turned-off display to its maximum brightness. After turning it on, the display is in its middle brightness level. In the state of a turned-off display while operating the device with function keys the display lights up and after a few seconds, the display turns off again.
- 1, 2, 3, 4: Input selector.
- X1, X2: Input selector.
Visual Description: The front panel features a large silver rotary knob for volume control. To its left, a button labeled "DIMM" adjusts display brightness. To the right of the volume knob, a button labeled "MUTE" provides instant muting. The CANOR logo is centrally placed below these controls. Input selection is handled by buttons labeled "1", "2", "3", "4" and "X1", "X2". The display shows "X2 -42dB".
Back Panel
Connections:
- LEFT/RIGHT SPEAKER OUTPUTS
- IN1, IN2, IN3, IN4: Left / Right RCA inputs.
- XLR1, XLR2: Left / Right XLR inputs.
- POWER: Mains power inlet / mains switch with mains fuse.
Diagram Description: The back panel features clearly labeled connection terminals for speakers (LEFT/RIGHT OUTPUTS), four sets of RCA inputs (IN1-IN4), and two XLR inputs (XLR1, XLR2). The POWER connection is a standard mains inlet with an integrated switch and fuse holder. Below the power inlet, specifications like voltage (230V-50/60Hz), power consumption (450 VA), and fuse rating (FUSE T3.15 AL/250V) are displayed. Compliance marks such as CE and EAC are also visible.
Remote Control
The remote control operates at an angle of 60° up to approximately 5 meters. Aim the remote control at the sensor on the device. Ensure there are no obstacles between the sensor and the remote. Direct sunlight or strong light sources can affect performance. If the appliance is placed behind glass, the operating distance may be reduced.

Basic Functions of Reproduction
To operate the CANOR AI 2.10, plug in the power cord and turn on the main switch on the back panel. The unit enters standby mode (red LED on). Pressing the Power button initiates a controlled turning-on sequence, including tube preheating for extended lifespan. A cooling cycle occurs when the unit is turned off via the front panel or remote, indicated by a 45-second countdown. If turned on during this cycle, cooling continues with a flashing red LED. Once cooling is complete, the toroidal transformer connects, and voltage starts to rise. This 45-second cycle concludes with the red LED stopping its flash, and an output relay connects the signal to the last selected input.
Upon initial power-up or disconnection of the main power supply, the IN1 input is preselected, and the volume is set to -44 dB. Volume is adjustable in 63 steps of 1 dB, ranging from 0 dB (highest) to -63 dB (lowest), with a MUTE function. Volume can be controlled via the front panel knob or remote. The volume control uses a relay attenuator with high accuracy (better than 0.05 dB). The amplifier supports connection of both 4 Ohm and 8 Ohm loudspeakers.
