Product Overview
The Telis 1 Chronis RTS remote control and timer provides control of a single or a group of window coverings in the same room. It can be used in manual or automatic mode. Manual mode controls paired window coverings directly. Automatic mode allows control using preprogrammed factory settings, and operators can customize daily and weekly schedules in the “work” program.

Introduction to Components
The Telis 1 Chronis RTS remote control features several components:
- E. Red indicator light: Indicates status.

Battery Installation
To install batteries:

- Replace the battery cover.
Replace batteries when the battery symbol [battery-symbol (U)] appears on the display. Note: If the remote loses power for an extended time, settings may need to be reprogrammed, though automatic orders are saved in memory. ❗ Never use rechargeable batteries.
Wall Mount Installation
To mount the remote control on a wall:
- Select a suitable location for the wall mount.
- Mark the screw locations, noting the vertical spacing is 40 mm.
- Attach the wall mount using the included screws (use anchors if required).

Programming the Remote Control
The Telis 1 Chronis RTS screen enters sleep mode after two minutes of inactivity. Press any button to wake it. Holding the selection button (F) returns to manual or automatic mode.
Setting Up the Remote
After battery installation, the remote enters settings mode, starting with "Year" flashing. If power was lost, selecting automatic mode activates settings mode. The settings sequence is:
- YEAR: Current year.
- MONTH: Current month number.
- DAY: Current day number.
- TIME (Hour): Current hour.
- TIME (Minutes): Current minutes.
- AREA: Country of residence (e.g., US). This setting helps with automatic summer/winter time changes. Select "OFF" to disable automatic time changes.
- WORK: Daily/weekend programming. Use arrow buttons (G) to select workdays; days not circled are considered vacation/weekend days.
Use the arrow buttons (G) to modify settings. Press and hold to scroll faster. Briefly press the selection button (F) to save a setting and move to the next. Holding the selection button (F) at any time exits settings mode, retaining saved settings.
Programming Days of the Week
In automatic mode, the Telis 1 Chronis RTS sends commands daily. Settings can be for every day, or divided into workdays and weekend days. The preset mode can be deactivated by holding the selection button (F).
Quick Setting of an Automatic Command
To set an automatic command quickly:
- Using the selection button (F), switch to automatic mode.
- Use arrow keys (G) to navigate to the desired open or close setting.
- Press and hold the Up and Down buttons (H/J) for over 10 seconds to modify a command. "SET" will appear, and the order will flash three times. Release when "SET" disappears. The operation will occur automatically.
- Repeat steps to store another automatic order.
Pairing or Deleting a Window Covering
This is performed in manual mode:
- Press and hold the PROG button on the window covering control unit until it jogs (moves up and down). Programming mode is active for 2 minutes.
- Press the PROG button (K) on the Telis 1 Chronis remote control. The window covering will jog and be assigned or deleted from the remote.
Deleting an Automatic Command
To delete an automatic command:
- Switch to automatic mode using the selection button (F).
- Use arrow keys (G) to select the order to edit.
- Press and hold the selection button (F) until "SET" appears, activating "Automatic command programming" mode with "EDIT" flashing.
- Use arrow buttons (G) to find "Delete".
- Briefly press the selection button (F) to confirm deletion. Exit "EDIT" mode.
- Repeat for other commands.
Modifying General Settings
To modify general settings:
- Switch to automatic mode using the selection button (F).
- Press and hold the selection button (F) until "SET" and "YEAR" appear, activating settings mode.

Operation
Switch between manual and automatic modes by briefly pressing the selection button (F).
Manual Mode
Manual mode is used to send occasional orders to window coverings or deactivate automatic programming. Control is done by briefly pressing the Up, "my", or Down buttons.
Automatic Mode
Automatic mode controls window coverings based on programmed times and days. Examples include opening coverings for sunlight or closing them for security. The current time and next scheduled command are displayed. View all programmed commands by scrolling with arrow buttons (G). Stop an executing command by pressing the Stop/my button.
Simulated Presence Function
This function randomly varies preprogrammed window covering operations by 0 to 30 minutes to simulate occupancy during vacation. To activate or deactivate, switch to automatic mode and press both arrow buttons (G) simultaneously. The [simulated presence symbol (II)] symbol appears when active and disappears when deactivated.
