Somfy Situo RTS II Remote Control

This document provides a concise installation and operation guide for the Somfy Situo 1 RTS II, Situo 2 RTS II, and Situo 5 RTS II remote controls. For complete instructions, advanced settings, tips, and advice, please refer to the full guide available online at www.somfy.info.

Product Overview

The Situo RTS II range offers convenient control for Somfy-powered automated window coverings. The remotes are available in single-channel (Situo 1 RTS II) and multi-channel (Situo 2 RTS II, Situo 5 RTS II) versions.

1. Product Details (Figure [A])

The Situo RTS II remote control features the following components:

  • a) Wall bracket recess: Slot for mounting the remote on its bracket.
  • b) Up button: Used to raise, switch on, or open the controlled application.
  • c) Stop/my button: Used to stop the application or move it to a favorite position.
  • d) Down button: Used to lower, switch off, or close the controlled application.
  • e) Feedback LED: Indicates the status of the remote or command.
  • f) Channel selector: Used to switch between different groups or channels on multi-channel remotes.
  • g) PROG button: Used for programming and pairing functions.
  • h) Wall bracket: Mount for attaching the remote to a wall.

2. Channel Selection (Figure [B])

The Situo 2 RTS II and Situo 5 RTS II remotes allow control of multiple devices or groups of devices. Use the channel selector (f) to choose the desired group before operating the system. Ensure the correct group is selected for the intended operation.

3. Installation

3.1. Adding/Deleting Situo RTS (Figure [C])

This section describes the process of pairing a Situo RTS remote with a Somfy motor or receiver. It typically involves pressing the PROG button (g) on the remote and potentially on the motor unit.

3.2. Wall Mounting (Figure [D])

To mount the remote control:

  1. Take the wall bracket (h).
  2. Remove the protective film from the adhesive on the back of the bracket.
  3. Press the bracket firmly onto a flat, clean, and dry surface. Ensure it is securely attached.

4. Battery Replacement (Figure [E])

DANGER: Read the Safety Instructions document. Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type.

To replace the battery:

  1. Open the remote control casing.
  2. Insert one CR2032, 3V battery, ensuring the positive (+) side is visible and oriented correctly.
  3. Ensure you comply with the polarity and do not short-circuit the power supply terminals.

5. Technical Data

  • Frequency Bands and Maximum Power: 433.050 MHz - 434.790 MHz.
  • ERP (Effective Radiated Power): < 63 μW (US and Canada), < 10 mW (Other countries).
  • Radio Range: 50 meters (164 ft) in free field for single-channel control. 150 meters (492 ft) in free field for multi-channel control (except US/Canada, where it's similar to single-channel). Range may be reduced by environmental factors.
  • Operating Temperature: 0°C (+32°F) to +48°C (+118.4°F).
  • Power Supply: 1 x CR2032, 3V battery.
