TurboTronic TT-IBIN60 iBIN Touchless Sensor Dustbin

Instruction Manual

Introduction

Dear Customer,

Thank you for choosing iBIN touchless sensor dustbins by TurboTronic®. This automatic opening dustbin utilizes infrared technology to provide a touchless operation, promoting a germ-free environment. The unit features an Activated Carbon deodorizer to neutralize odors. The lid sensor employs invisible, harmless, patented infrared technology for accurate and responsive lid open and close actions. Manual control is available via two buttons on the front of the lid: "OPEN" and "CLOSE". An ON/OFF power switch is located on the back of the lid. The infrared sensor on the lid automatically opens it when a hand or object is detected within 10 cm. The lid remains open as long as an object is within its range and automatically closes 6 seconds after the object is withdrawn. The system comprises computer clips, an infrared detecting device, a mechanical transmitting device, and an electrical drive system. It is a high-performance device with low energy consumption and a long service life.

Instruction

  1. Open the battery compartment under the lid of the bin and insert four "C" type ALKALINE batteries, or connect the adapter (You can choose one of them).
  2. Turn on the power switch located at the back of the lid. The red indicator light will stay on for 3 seconds, then flash once every three seconds to show it is in working order.
  3. To open the bin, hold your hand about 10 cm above the infrared panel. The lid will open automatically within 0.5 seconds and close again automatically within 6 seconds of moving your hand away. If you do not move your hand away, the lid will stay open.
  4. If you touch the 'OPEN' button on the infrared panel (for manual operation), the lid will open and stay open without closing automatically. This manual function is useful for frequently disposing of rubbish, removing the bag, or cleaning the bin. To return to automatic operation, simply touch the 'CLOSE' button.
  5. Indicator light status:
    • A) Normal waiting state: Flashes red (once every three seconds).
    • B) Lid opens automatically: Shows green.
    • C) Lid closes automatically: Extinguished.
    • D) Lid opened by hand: Shows six red lights, which remain until the 'CLOSE' button is touched.
  6. Batteries typically last for 6 months, assuming the bin is opened or closed 20 times daily. When batteries are low, the indicator light will flash yellow (once every 3 seconds).
  7. The adapter can be used continuously.

How the Smart Retainer Ring Works

  1. Place the garbage bag inside the can body, then wrap the top of the bag over the top edge.
  2. Place the plastic bracket over the top of the can body. Fold the surplus bag material neatly inside the can.
  3. Pull up the smart ring and secure the bag on both sides.

Disposal of Old Electrical Appliances

The European directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be collected separately to optimize the recovery and recycling of materials and reduce the impact on human health and the environment. The crossed-out "wheeled bin" symbol ?️ on the product reminds you of your obligation for separate collection when disposing of the appliance. Consumers should contact their local authority or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their old appliance. ♻️
