Install the Wheel Kit
The 'Install the Wheel Kit' diagram illustrates attaching the wheels to the generator. It shows the axle passing through the generator frame, with wheels mounted on either side, secured by brackets, washers, and nuts.
Battery Cable Connection
The 'Battery Cable Connection' diagram shows a generator's battery terminal and a battery. It indicates connecting the positive cable (typically red) to the positive terminal and the negative cable (typically black) to the negative terminal.
Prevent Carbon Monoxide (CO) Poisoning
Use outdoors at least 20 ft. (6 m) min. from any home. Point exhaust away from all homes and occupied spaces. Install CO alarms inside your home.
DANGER! Engine exhaust contains carbon monoxide, a poisonous gas that will kill you in minutes. You cannot smell it, see it, or taste it. Even if you do not smell exhaust fumes, you could still be exposed to carbon monoxide gas.
The 'Prevent Carbon Monoxide (CO) Poisoning' diagram shows a generator positioned outdoors, at least 20 feet (6 meters) away from a house. The exhaust is directed away from the house. A prominent warning symbol with a skull and crossbones inside a triangle is displayed near the house, indicating severe danger.

To Restore Power Using Extension Cords
120V Outlet
The '120V Outlet' diagram shows the generator's standard 120V power outlet, with an example of an extension cord plugged into it.
- Only use grounded cords marked for outdoor use rated for your loads.
- Follow cord safety instructions.
- Install carbon monoxide alarm(s).
- When operating portable generator with extension cords, make sure portable generator is located in an open, outdoor area, at least 20 ft. (6 m) from occupied spaces with exhaust pointed away.
- Extension cords running directly into your home, powering indoor items IS NOT RECOMMENDED.
- Install a listed* transfer switch as soon as possible if this or any generator will be used to restore power to your home.
DANGER! Extension cords running directly into the home increase your risk of carbon monoxide poisoning through any openings. If an extension cord running directly into your home is used to power indoor items, the operator recognizes that this increases the risk of CO poisoning to people inside the home and assumes that risk.
