Product Information
1. Bluetooth Indicator Light (Blue LED)
- Blinking blue light: Bluetooth not paired
- Solid blue light: Bluetooth connected
- When the blue light is on, the device is in Bluetooth transmission mode.
2. Battery Indicator Light (Green LED)
- Four green LEDs on: 75% - 100% battery
- Three green LEDs on: 50% - 75% battery
- Two green LEDs on: 25% - 50% battery
- One green LED on: 0% - 25% battery
3. Status Indicator Light (Tri-color LED)
- Red light blinks twice: Low battery
- Red light blinks three times: Data transmission failed
- Red light blinks five times: Battery depleted
- Blue light blinks once: Data transmitted successfully
- Green light blinking: Storage mode active
- Green light solid: Fully charged
4. Trigger Button
- Made of soft silicone material

Firmware Version:
Firmware version will be displayed by scanning "$SW#VER".

Scanning the following barcode can restore the engine to the factory defaults:

Barcode Programming
Netum barcode scanners are factory programmed for the most common terminal and communications settings. Programming is accomplished by scanning the bar codes in this guide. An asterisk (*) next to an option indicates the default setting.
Important Notes:
Many command barcodes only work with the scanner in a particular connection mode. Please pay attention to the symbols when scanning command barcodes:
- 🖨️ Command barcodes apply to scanner work via Bluetooth connection.
- 🖨️ Command barcodes apply to scanner work via Wireless Connection.
- 🖨️ Command barcodes apply to scanner work via USB Wired Connection.
Connection Way
Scanner can be connected to your device via Bluetooth, USB receiver, or USB cable. You can choose one of the connection ways to connect the scanner with your device.
Working Via USB Cable
Get Started: Connect the scanner with your device via USB cable. If you use a US keyboard, it's plug and play. If you use another type of keyboard, please refer to "Keyboard Language" to configure the keyboard language before use.
Working Via USB Dongle (Wireless Mode)
Getting Started:
- Slide the switch on the bottom of the scanner to the right.
- Plug the USB dongle into your computer.
- If you're using a U.S. keyboard layout, it's plug and play.
- If you're using a different keyboard layout, please refer to the "Keyboard Language" section to configure the correct settings before use.
Working Via Bluetooth
Getting Started:
- Slide the switch on the bottom of the scanner to the left.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your host device and look for "CPRO barcode scanner" in the list of available devices. Tap it to pair.
- The default keyboard layout is US. If you're using a different keyboard layout, please set the correct keyboard language before using the scanner.
Important Notes:
- Scanning a setting code to switch modes is not supported. You must use the physical switch on the bottom of the scanner to change connection modes.
- Make sure the device is within range and Bluetooth is turned on.
- If a connection is successful, the blue light will stop flashing and stay solid.
- If it fails to connect after several attempts, the scanner will emit a long beep, the blue light will turn off, and the scanner will automatically enter sleep mode.
Operating Modes
1. Basic Mode (HID) (default)
- NO software installation needed
- Connects to most devices
- Scanner interacts with host device like a keyboard

2. Application Mode (Apple Specific Serial Profile)
- For iOS Devices
- If you have an iOS application that supports our Scanners, this is the mode to use.

3. Application Mode (Serial Port Profile)
- For Android or Windows
- Software installation is required
- If you have an application that supports this, this is the mode recommended.

Important Notes:
To shift from HID to SPP or BLE, scan the corresponding command barcode. To shift from SPP or BLE to HID mode, first ignore (or delete) "Netum Bluetooth", turn off Bluetooth, scan the command barcode of HID, open Bluetooth, and re-pair it.
Transmission Speed Via Bluetooth Connection
Scanning the appropriate barcode below will change the Bluetooth transmit speed:
- [Barcode: AT+HIDDLY=4] High Speed
- [Barcode: AT+HIDDLY=10] Medium Speed
- [Barcode: AT+HIDDLY=25] Low Speed
USB DONGLE AS HID-KBW
When you plug the USB dongle to your device, the USB HID-KBW feature will be enabled by default. The scanner's transmission will be simulated as USB keyboard input. It works on a Plug and Play basis and no driver is required.

USB DONGLE AS VIRTUAL COM
USB COM Port Emulation
If you connect the scanner to the Host via USB dongle, scanning "USB COM Port Emulation" will allow your device to receive data as a serial port does.

USB HID-KBW
When the scanner is connected to your device via USB cable, the USB HID-KBW feature will be enabled by default. The scanner's transmission will be simulated as USB keyboard input. It works on a Plug and Play basis and no driver is required.

If you connect the scanner to your device via USB cable, scanning "USB COM Port Emulation" will allow your device to receive data as a serial port does.

Keyboard Language
For example, if you use a French Keyboard, scan the command barcode of "French keyboard". If you use a US keyboard, you can ignore this step.

Working Mode
If you are heading for a working area outside the Bluetooth signal range, you may activate the scanner's store mode. Following the steps described below, all scanned data will be stored directly into the device's buffer memory. Data entries will be permanently saved in the buffer memory prior to manual upload to the working station, so you can upload them when you are near your working device.

Scanning the appropriate barcode below will change the beep volume:

When Function Key Mapping is enabled, function characters are sent over the keypad.

- Some barcodes cannot be read, why?
a. Dirty or unclear barcodes might not be read.
b. The possible reason is that setting for some barcode types not commonly used is off by default. You need to activate a specific barcode type to get it to work. Please contact Netum for help or go to the official website "www.netum.net" to download the manual and refer to the section of "Symbologies". - How to change terminator to TAB?
