- Ensure the water supply is clean and water inlet/outlet are correctly connected.
- Verify the current water softener level matches the water supply's hardness; adjust if necessary.
- Fill the salt container and rinse aid dispenser.
- Open the water tap.
- Start a program without detergent or dishes to remove any residual manufacturing materials. This process may take up to 5 minutes for the water softener to recharge. The washing phase begins only after this procedure is completed.
Operation and Filling
Filling the Salt Container
Follow these steps to fill the salt container:
- Locate the salt container at the bottom of the dishwasher.
- Remove the salt container cap.
- Fill the salt container with water to the maximum level.
- Place the supplied funnel over the salt container opening and add 1.5 kg of dishwasher salt.
- Tightly close the salt container cap.
Caution: Use only coarse salt designed for dishwashers. Fine salt can increase the risk of corrosion. Salt is used to recharge the water softener's resin and ensure good washing results.
Caution: Water and salt may spill when filling. Start a program immediately after filling to prevent corrosion.
Filling the Rinse Aid & Detergent Dispenser
Follow these steps:
- Locate the rinse aid dispenser on the inside of the door.
- Lift the rinse aid container cover.
- Fill the rinse aid container with rinse aid, being careful not to overfill.
- Close the rinse aid container cover.
- Slide the release catch to the right and open the detergent dispenser cap.
- Add detergent (powder or tabs) into the dispenser.
- Close the detergent dispenser cap by sliding it forward and pressing down.
Note: For prewash programs, place detergent in the inner tub instead of the dispenser. Do not open the dishwasher door during the program.
