Important Safety Information

WARNING! Serious or fatal crushing injuries can occur from furniture tip over. To prevent tip over, this furniture must be used with the wall attachment device(s) provided.

Screw(s) and plug(s) for the wall are not included. Use screw(s) and plug(s) suitable for your walls. If you are uncertain, seek professional advice. Read and follow each step of the instruction carefully.

Assembly Steps

The following steps outline the assembly process for the KALLAX shelving unit. Ensure all parts are present before beginning. Tools required include a screwdriver, hammer, and spirit level.

Step 1: Attach the wall mounting bracket (100092) to the top of the unit using two screws (121030). Ensure the bracket is oriented correctly as shown in the diagram.

Step 2: Insert dowels (101339) into the designated holes on the side panels. Use a hammer to gently tap them in if necessary. Insert 8 dowels in total.

Step 3: Connect the side panels to the base panel using the dowels. Insert 4 dowels into the base panel and align the side panels.

Step 4: Insert dowels (101339) into the remaining side panels and internal dividers. Use a hammer to gently tap them in if necessary. Insert 8 dowels in total.

Step 5: Connect the internal dividers to the base and side panels using dowels. Insert 4 dowels into the base and align the dividers.

Step 6: Continue inserting internal dividers, securing them with dowels. Insert 8 dowels in total.

Step 7: Attach the remaining side panels to the structure, securing them with dowels. Insert 4 dowels into the base and align the side panels.

Step 8: Insert dowels (101339) into the top panel. Use a hammer to gently tap them in if necessary. Insert 8 dowels in total.

Step 9: Connect the top panel to the assembled structure, securing it with dowels. Insert 20 dowels in total.

Step 10: Attach the back panels to the unit. Slide them into the grooves and secure them with the provided screws (104321, 104322).

Step 11: Secure the outer frame of the unit using screws (104321, 104322). Insert 6 screws in total.

Step 12: Prepare for wall mounting. Place the unit in its desired location. Use the provided wall mounting hardware (10002300) and screws (115753) to secure the unit to the wall. Ensure the unit is level using a spirit level.

Step 13: Attach the wall brackets (115753) to the top of the unit using screws (100372). Ensure the brackets are securely fastened.

Step 14: Align the wall brackets on the unit with the corresponding brackets on the wall. Secure the unit to the wall using the provided screws (115753).

Step 15: Final check of all connections. Ensure the unit is stable and securely attached to the wall.

Step 16: The unit is now assembled and secured. Ensure it is stable and level.
