Assembly Steps

The following steps detail the assembly of the KALLAX shelving unit. Please ensure you have all parts and tools before beginning.

Tools Required:

• Screwdriver
• Hammer
• Pencil
• Spirit Level

Assembly Process:

1. Step 1: Connect the side panels using the provided dowels and cam locks. (Parts: 121030, 100092)
2. Step 2: Insert dowels (101339) into the pre-drilled holes on the horizontal panels. Secure with cam locks (100092). (6x)
3. Step 3: Insert the vertical dividers into the corresponding slots.
4. Step 4: Attach the horizontal shelves using dowels (101339) and cam locks (100092). (12x)
5. Step 5: Slide in the back panels into the grooves.
6. Step 6: Secure the structure with dowels (101339) and cam locks (100092). (6x)
7. Step 7: Insert the remaining vertical dividers.
8. Step 8: Continue securing the structure with dowels (101339) and cam locks (100092).
9. Step 9: Insert more vertical dividers and secure with dowels (101339) and cam locks (100092). (6x)
10. Step 10: Insert the final set of vertical dividers.
11. Step 11: Slide in the remaining back panels.
12. Step 12: Secure the entire unit with dowels (101339) and cam locks (100092). (6x)
13. Step 13: Insert the remaining vertical dividers and secure them.
14. Step 14: Attach the top and bottom panels, securing them with the provided brackets and screws.
15. Step 15: Secure the unit to the wall using the provided wall attachment device. (Parts: 121030, 100092, 104321, 104322) (2x)
16. Step 16: Continue securing the unit with dowels (101339) and cam locks (100092). (6x)
17. Step 17: Attach the final side panel.
18. Step 18: Secure the unit further using screws (104321, 104322) and cam locks (100092). (4x)
19. Step 19: Attach the decorative caps (153550). (10x)
20. Step 20: With assistance, carefully lift and position the unit.
21. Step 21: Attach the wall mounting bracket to the unit.
22. Step 22: Mark the wall for drilling and install wall anchors if necessary.
23. Step 23: Secure the unit to the wall using the provided bracket and screws. Ensure it is level.
24. Step 24: Confirm the unit is securely attached to the wall.
25. Step 25: Final securing of the unit to the wall using screws (104321, 104322) and cam locks (100092). (2x)
26. Step 26: Final check of all connections and stability.

It is crucial to secure the KALLAX shelving unit to the wall to prevent tipping. Use the provided wall attachment device. Ensure you use screws and wall plugs suitable for your wall type. If unsure, consult a professional.
