The Epson Classroom Connect application allows you to easily perform various tasks useful for teaching, such as projecting images using a projector connected to your device.

Intuitive Control
The Epson Classroom Connect application allows you to perform various operations easily. You can also easily connect your device to the projector and display images.
Easy Saving of Drawing Data
When you save drawings created during lessons, you can review the content later or share it with students as teaching material. Drawing data is saved to your device, so you can reuse it for teaching.
Smooth Connection to Projectors
You can connect to the projector using a connection code, IP address, or QR code displayed on the projector screen. If you want to connect to the same projector, you can easily connect from the connection history displayed in the Epson Classroom Connect application.
To mirror your device's screen, you must install the "Epson Classroom Connect Extension" for the Chrome browser. Audio can also be reproduced by the projector for mirrored screens.

Application Installation
Follow the steps below to install the Epson Classroom Connect application from the Google Play Store.
- Install the latest application from the Google Play Store.
- Update the application regularly after installation.
- Update your Chromebook's operating system to the latest version.
Installation Steps:
- Turn on your computer. Log in with the account that will use the application.
- If necessary, install the Google Play Store application.
- Find and install the Epson Classroom Connect application from the Google Play Store.
- Install the "Epson Classroom Connect Extension" from the Chrome Web Store.
To share your screen via the projector, you must install the "Epson Classroom Connect Extension" for the Chrome browser.
Epson Classroom Connect Application Requirements
To use the Epson Classroom Connect application, your computer must meet the following requirements:

Install the Epson Classroom Connect application on your computer by following these instructions.
Selecting Projector Network Settings
If you have not yet configured network settings for your projectors, you must set up the projector before using the Epson Classroom Connect application. Follow these instructions to select how to connect your computer to the projector and configure the projector.

Setting up the projector for Wireless LAN Connection
To connect your computer to the projector using a wireless LAN, you need to perform network settings on both your computer and the projector. Necessary settings may vary by projector. Refer to your projector's user manual for instructions.
- Consult your network administrator and note down the access point settings, such as SSID and security settings.
- Configure network settings for connecting your computer to the network. If network connection setup is required, consult the documentation provided with your computer or network adapter. For details, refer to your computer's user manual.
- If necessary, install a wireless LAN unit for the projector. Refer to your projector's user manual for instructions.
- Turn on the projector.
- Press the [Menu] button on the remote control or control panel and select the Network menu.
- Turn on the wireless LAN.
- Turn off the Simple AP application setting. Settings may vary by projector. Refer to your projector's user manual for instructions. (Depending on your computer, you may be able to connect even if the Simple AP setting is on.)
- Select other options for your network as needed. Refer to your projector's user manual for instructions.
- Select network security settings as needed. Contact your network administrator for information on choosing the correct settings. To activate the save function, set a password for the projector's web interface.
- Save the settings and close the menus when done.
Setting up the projector for Wired LAN Connection
To connect your computer to the projector using a wired LAN, you need to perform network settings on both your computer and the projector.
- Configure network settings for connecting your computer to the network. If network connection setup is required, consult the documentation provided with your computer or network adapter. For details, refer to your computer's user manual.
- Connect the LAN cable to the projector.
- Turn on the projector.
- Press the [Menu] button on the remote control or control panel and select the Network menu.
- Set DHCP to Off and enter the IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway Address for the projector as needed.
- Save the settings and close the menus when done.
Connecting to the Projector and Displaying Images
These instructions guide you through connecting your computer to the projector via the network and displaying your computer's screen through the projector.

First Connection of the Epson Classroom Connect Application
When using the Epson Classroom Connect application for the first time, connect to the projector using one of the following methods:
- Connecting via Connection Code
- Connecting via IP Address
- Connecting via QR Code
If you enter an incorrect connection code 10 times in a row, the screen will lock. Wait a while and try again.
To share your screen via the projector, you must install the "Epson Classroom Connect Extension" for the Chrome browser. If necessary, install the "Epson Classroom Connect Extension" from the Chrome Web Store.
Connecting to the Projector via Connection Code
You can connect to the projector by entering the connection code displayed on the projector in the Epson Classroom Connect application.
- Turn on the projector.
- Launch the Epson Classroom Connect application.
- Display the main screen by pressing the Home button on the projector's remote control.
- Enter the four- or six-digit number displayed on the projector's main screen, then press Connect.
- When the ChromeOS confirmation screen appears to start screen sharing, press Share. To reproduce sound, activate sound during screen sharing.
Connecting to the Projector via IP Address
If you cannot connect using the connection code, or if you want to connect to a projector on a different network, enter the IP address displayed on the projector into the Epson Classroom Connect application.
If the projector password is enabled, you will be prompted to enter the password when connecting via IP address or history. Refer to your projector's user manual for instructions.
- Turn on the projector.
- Launch the Epson Classroom Connect application.
- Display the main screen by pressing the Home button on the projector's remote control.
- Press "Try other methods" displayed in the Epson Classroom Connect application. Select "Connect via IP Address" to display the screen for entering the IP address.
- Enter one of the IP addresses displayed on the projector's main screen, then press Connect.
- When the ChromeOS confirmation screen appears to start screen sharing, press Share. To reproduce sound, activate sound during screen sharing.
Connecting to the Projector via QR Code
If you cannot connect using the connection code, or if you want to connect to a projector on a different network, scan the QR code displayed by the projector in the Epson Classroom Connect application.
- Turn on the projector.
- Launch the Epson Classroom Connect application.
- Display the main screen by pressing the Home button on the projector's remote control.
- On the projector's main screen, select LAN as the projection input source. (The QR code can also be displayed on the projector's guide screen.)
- Press "Try other methods" displayed in the Epson Classroom Connect application. Select "Connect via QR Code" to display the screen for entering the QR code.
- Connect by scanning the QR code displayed on the projector's LAN screen.
- When the ChromeOS confirmation screen appears to start screen sharing, press Share. To reproduce sound, activate sound during screen sharing.
Connecting to the Projector from Connection History
When connecting to a projector you have previously connected to, you can connect via the connection history displayed in the Epson Classroom Connect application.
If the projector password is enabled, you will be prompted to enter the password when connecting via IP address or history. Refer to your projector's user manual for instructions.
- Turn on the projector.
- Launch the Epson Classroom Connect application.
- In the Connection History section, select the projector you want to connect to.
- Select Connect.
- When the ChromeOS confirmation screen appears to start screen sharing, press Share. To reproduce sound, activate sound during screen sharing.

Controlling the Displayed Image
You can control the projected image using the toolbar.

Interactive Functions
On the projection surface, you can create notes using the interactive pen or your finger. Refer to your projector's user manual for instructions.
Icons for interactive functions:
- Icon 1: Used to save drawing data.
- Icon 2: Used to switch to drawing mode. Enable Note Mode or Whiteboard Mode, then write or draw on the projection surface.
- Icon 3: Switches to PC interactive mode. Enabling "Interact with PC" allows you to control the computer using the interactive pen or finger.
The Epson Classroom Connect application displays buttons to switch to PC interactive mode, but the computer cannot be controlled with a pen or finger on the projected image.

Creating a Projector Nickname
After connecting, you can set a unique name (nickname) for the projector and manage it.
- Launch the Epson Classroom Connect application.
- In the Connection History section, select the projector for which you want to set a nickname.

Pinning Frequently Used Connections
You can pin projector connections you frequently use, setting where they are displayed. Launch the Epson Classroom Connect application. Select the projector you want to pin in the Connection History section and click the pin icon. When the pin icon turns yellowish-green, the setting is complete.
Saving Drawing Data
Pressing the Save button on the projector screen saves the drawing data to your device. Each time you press the Save button on the projection surface, the projected image is saved as a picture. After disconnecting from the projector, or after 10 Save button presses, the Epson Classroom Connect application creates a .pptx file containing all saved images. You can find the .pptx file in the Downloads folder. If the Epson Classroom Connect application does not create a .pptx file due to a forced shutdown or other reason, the .pptx file will be created the next time the application is launched.

Troubleshooting Network Connection Issues
Try these solutions depending on your network environment.

What to do if you cannot connect to the internet after connecting to the projector
If the projector is connected in Simple AP mode, you may not be able to connect to the internet. Connect projectors to a wired LAN or a wireless LAN access point.

What to do if you cannot connect using the connection code
If you cannot connect using the connection code, try the following steps:
- Enter the IP address into the Epson Classroom Connect application and connect. Enter one of the IP addresses displayed on the projector's main screen.
- Scan the QR code with the Epson Classroom Connect application and connect. Connect by scanning the QR code displayed on the projector's LAN screen.

What to do if you cannot connect to the projector (wireless)
If you cannot connect your computer to the projector via wireless network, try the following solutions. If the problem cannot be resolved, contact your network administrator.
- Check the status of external devices used for network connection or the projector's setup environment.
- Properly connect the designated wireless LAN unit to the projector as needed. Refer to your projector's user manual for details.
- Check if there are any obstacles between the access point and the computer or projector, and change their positions to improve communication. Indoor layout sometimes prevents finding the projector during searches.
- Check if the access point and the computer or projector are too far apart. Move them closer to each other and try connecting again.
- Check for interference from other equipment, such as Bluetooth devices or microwave ovens. Move the interfering device to a more distant location or expand the wireless band width.
- Set the maximum emission intensity of network devices.
- Set the correct IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address for the access point.
- Check if the wireless LAN system of the access point supports the projector's wireless LAN system.
- Check the projector's network settings.
- Set the computer, access point, and projector to the same SSID.
- Set the correct IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address for the projector.
- Enable the wireless LAN settings as needed.
- Configure the wireless LAN system to comply with the standards supported by the access point.
- After enabling security settings, set the same password for the access point, computer, and projector.
- Complete the network settings in the projector.
- Check your computer's network settings.
- Use a computer that can connect to the wireless LAN.
- Enable the wireless LAN settings as needed.
- Connect to the same access point to which the projector is connected.
- On the access point, set connection permissions so that projectors can connect, if the access point has functions that block connections, such as MAC address restrictions and port restrictions.
- Check the software settings.
If connection to the projector using the connection code fails, select "Try other methods" on this screen.

What to do if you cannot connect to the projector (wired)
If you cannot connect your computer to the projector via a wired network, try the following solutions. If the problem cannot be resolved, contact your network administrator.
- Connect the network cable properly.
- Check the projector's network settings.
- Set the correct IP address, subnet mask, and gateway address for the projector.
- Complete the network settings in the projector.
- Check your computer's network settings.
- Enable the local area network (LAN) settings on your computer.
- Check the application settings.
- If connection to the projector using the connection code fails, select "Try other methods" on this screen.

If the projected image stops or does not move smoothly, try the following solutions.

Connection Screen
After launching the Epson Classroom Connect application, the connection selection screen is displayed.
Frequently used projectors can be pinned at the top of the connection history. Clicking the pin icon again will unpin the projector. You can pin a maximum of four projectors.

Screen Elements:
- 1: Opens the Settings screen.
- 2: Allows you to select another connection method if connecting via connection code fails.
- 3: Enter the connection code (four- or six-digit number) displayed on the projector's main screen.
- 4: Set the name of the folder where you want to save drawing data. The save folder will be created in the Downloads folder on your computer.
- 5: Lists projectors you have previously connected to.
- 6: Starts screen sharing with the connected projector.
- 7: Pressing this button while connected to the projector will disconnect it.
- 8: Enter a nickname for projector management.
Connecting to the Projector via Other Methods
If connecting to the projector via connection code fails, select another connection method on this screen.
- Enter one of the IP addresses (wired or wireless connection) displayed on the projector's main screen, then connect the projector.
- Connect by scanning the QR code displayed on the projector's LAN screen. The QR code can also be displayed on the projector's guide screen.

Settings Screen
Clicking the gear icon ⚙️ on the connection screen displays the settings screen. Settings can be changed without connecting to the projector.
Settings Options:
- 1: Enabling this option allows Epson to collect usage information for the application.
- 2: Controls the bandwidth for data transfer. Selecting a narrower bandwidth may reduce the quality of the projected image but also reduce network load.
- 3: When this option is enabled, the main device's screen will be shared immediately upon connection to the projector.
- 4: Switches between displaying/hiding the connection history for previously connected projectors.
- 5: Displays information about the Epson Classroom Connect application version.

Uninstalling the Epson Classroom Connect Application
You can uninstall the Epson Classroom Connect application by following these instructions.
- Turn on your computer.
- Select the launcher icon in the bottom left corner of the screen.
- Right-click on the Epson Classroom Connect application. (In tablet mode, tap the application with two fingers.)
- Select Uninstall.
Limitations
These sections provide information on limitations that apply when projecting images from a computer using the Epson Classroom Connect application. Please check the following:
Connection Limitations
- If the wireless LAN transfer speed is low, the network connection may be unexpectedly interrupted.
- There may be times when the computer screen image and the projected image do not match exactly.
- Movies do not play as smoothly as they do on a computer.
Chromebook Limitations
Depending on the operating system, the following limitations may apply when using the Epson Classroom Connect application with a Chromebook:
- When attempting to launch the Epson Classroom Connect application using another application's sharing function, the application may not launch or files may not be read correctly, even if the application launches.
- Switching between laptop and tablet modes is not supported during operation.
- Message windows may not be displayed.
