The NITECORE EDC37 is a high-performance LED flashlight designed for various applications. It features advanced technology for brightness, battery management, and user interface.

Operating Instructions

Multifunctional OLED Display

The EDC37 features an OLED display. Remove the screen protector before first use. When the light is on, the screen shows current information (Brightness Level, Lumens, Battery Level, Runtime Remaining) before turning off. Half-pressing the Tail Button reactivates the screen. When SEARCH/LUMIN SHIELD™ is active, a progress bar shows remaining time. Releasing the Customizable Button returns the flashlight to its previous status, and the progress bar will recover. Recovery time depends on flashlight temperature; high temperatures may pause recovery. Half-pressing the Tail Button during recovery exits the display.

Charging Function

The EDC37 has an intelligent charging system. Charge before first use. Connect an external power supply (adapter, power bank) to the USB-C port using the provided USB cable. The screen shows charging status and turns off after 30 seconds. A full battery is indicated by a full battery icon and "100%" for 30 seconds. SEARCH/LUMIN SHIELD™/STROBE are unavailable during charging. Charging time is approx. 2 hours (with PD/QC adapter). Standby time is approx. 12 months when fully charged.

Tactical Momentary Illumination

• When the light is off, half-press and hold the Tail Button for ULTRALOW mode. Release to turn off.
• When the light is off, half-press and hold the Customizable Button for SEARCH/LUMIN SHIELD™/STROBE. Release to turn off.
• When the light is off, full-press and hold the Customizable Button for SEARCH/LUMIN SHIELD™/STROBE. Release to turn off.

On / Off

• On: When the light is off, full-press the Tail Button.
• Off: When the light is on, full-press the Tail Button.

Brightness Levels Adjusting

When the light is on, half-press the Tail Button to cycle through ULTRALOW, LOW, MID, HIGH. The flashlight has a memory function, returning to the last used brightness level upon reactivation.

Level Preset Function

When the light is off, half-press the Tail Button to activate the screen. Subsequent half-presses cycle through ULTRALOW, LOW, MID, HIGH brightness levels and lumens. Full-press the Tail Button when the desired level is displayed to activate it.

Customizable Function

The Customizable Button can be configured independently for half-press-and-hold and full-press-and-hold actions to directly access SEARCH, LUMIN SHIELD™, or STROBE.

• Half-press-and-hold Configuration: While the light is on or off, half-press and hold the Customizable Button, then full-press the Tail Button to cycle through SEARCH (default), LUMIN SHIELD™, STROBE. Release the Customizable Button to set.
• Full-press-and-hold Configuration: While the light is on or off, full-press and hold the Customizable Button, then full-press the Tail Button to cycle through SEARCH (default), LUMIN SHIELD™, STROBE. Release the Customizable Button to set.
• Activating Customized Settings: When the light is on or off, half or full-press and hold the Customizable Button to activate the configured setting. Release to return to the previous status.
• Reset to Factory Default: In Lockout Mode, half or full-press and hold the Customizable Button, then quickly half-press the Tail Button three or more times. The flashlight will flash three times, and the display will show "FACTORY RESET SUCCESSFUL".

Note: When SEARCH/LUMIN SHIELD™/STROBE is activated, the flashlight automatically adjusts brightness to prevent overheating and prolong lifespan. Reactivate the mode to restore previous brightness.

Lockout / Unlock

• Lockout (Default Setting): Slide the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) up to enter Lockout Mode. A lock icon appears below the switch. Both buttons are disabled in this mode.
• Unlock: In Lockout Mode, slide the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) down to exit.

Installing Screws

The EDC37 comes with four glass-breaking tips that can be replaced with screws:

1. Slide the Lockout Switch (Rapid Lock™) up to enter Lockout Mode to prevent accidental activation.
2. As shown in figure a, use the wrench to loosen and remove the four glass-breaking tips counterclockwise.
3. As shown in figure b, insert and tighten the four screws clockwise.

ATR (Advanced Temperature Regulation)

The integrated ATR technology regulates the EDC37's output based on working conditions and ambient environment to maintain optimal performance.

Warnings

General Warnings:

• This product is for adults aged 18 and over. Keep out of reach of children.
• Contains small parts; keep out of reach of children and pets to minimize choking/suffocation risk.
• CAUTION! Possible dangerous radiation! DO NOT stare directly into the light beam or shine it into anyone's eyes.
• The product generates significant heat during prolonged operation. Exercise caution. Avoid using high brightness levels for extended periods to prevent burns and product damage.
• DO NOT cover the product or place objects near the head, as this can cause damage or accidents due to high temperatures.
• DO NOT use to illuminate flammable or explosive materials, as high heat may cause combustion or explosion.
• Use the product in a standard handheld manner to avoid accidents in case of malfunction.
• When stored in enclosed or flammable environments (e.g., pocket, backpack) or left unused for extended periods, turn off the product and activate Lockout Mode to prevent accidental activation and overheating dangers.
• DO NOT expose the product to temperatures above 60°C (140°F) for prolonged periods, as this risks battery explosion or combustion.
• Use the original charging cable for power supply.
• Recharge the product every 6 months if left unused for a prolonged time.
• DO NOT disassemble or modify the product, as this will cause damage and void the warranty. Refer to the warranty section for details.

Battery Safety

Improper use of devices with built-in Li-ion batteries can lead to severe battery damage or safety hazards like combustion or explosion. DO NOT use if damaged. DO NOT disassemble, puncture, cut, crush, or incinerate. If leakage or abnormal odor is noticed, stop use immediately. Dispose of the device/batteries according to local laws and regulations.

Warranty Details

All NITECORE® products are warranted for quality. Defective products can be exchanged within 15 days of purchase through a local distributor. After that, defective/malfunctioning products can be repaired free of charge within 24 months from the date of purchase. A limited warranty applies beyond 24 months, covering labor and maintenance costs but not accessories or replacement parts. The warranty is void if the product is broken down, reconstructed, modified by unauthorized parties, or damaged due to improper use.
