Accessories Installation Diagram

This section illustrates the installation of the COOSPO BK805 sensor system on a bicycle.

Spoke Magnet: Detects the cycling speed. It is typically mounted on a bicycle spoke.

Crank Magnet: Detects the cycling cadence. It is typically mounted on the bicycle crank arm.

Main Device: This unit detects both cycling cadence and speed. It transfers real-time data to a smartphone or sports watch via Bluetooth and ANT+.

Remove the Insulating Sheet

Before first use, the insulating sheet inside the battery compartment must be removed.

  1. Rotate the battery cover to the OPEN position using the battery cover tool, then remove the battery cover.
  2. Remove the battery insulating sheet. Reinstall the battery cover by placing it on the OPEN position and rotating it back to the closed position.

Diagram Description: The diagrams show the battery cover being opened with a tool, the battery compartment, and the removal of a small insulating sheet from around the battery.

Testing Mode & LED Light

The BK805 features a testing mode to verify correct installation of magnets and sensors.

To enter testing mode: Reinstall the battery (refer to Battery Replacement section). This mode is recommended after each installation.

In testing mode:

The testing mode will remain active for 15 minutes after the battery is installed.

Diagram Description: The diagram shows the Main Device with an LED Light indicator and labels indicating the sensing positions for the crank magnet (cadence sensor) and the spoke magnet (speed sensor).

Accessories Installation

  1. Install the Crank Magnet

Mount the crank magnet on the crank arm and secure it with two cable ties. Do not fully tighten the ties until the correct position is determined. The following operations are similar.

Diagram Description: Shows the crank magnet being attached to the crank arm with cable ties.

  2. Install the Rubber Pad

Attach the rubber pad onto the main sensor.

Diagram Description: Shows the rubber pad being placed onto the bottom of the main sensor unit.

  3. Align Cadence Sensor

Align the sensing position of the cadence sensor (Main Device) with the crank magnet. Install it as shown in the diagram and fix it with cable ties.

Diagram Description: Illustrates aligning the main device with the crank magnet on the crank arm and securing it with cable ties.

  4. Attach Spoke Magnet

Attach the spoke magnet to a bicycle spoke. Align it with the sensing position of the speed sensor on the Main Device and tighten it. The diagram shows options for circular or flat spokes.

Diagram Description: Shows the spoke magnet being attached to a bicycle spoke, with alignment indicated.

  5. Check Alignment and Distance

Verify that the crank magnet and spoke magnet are aligned with the sensing positions of their respective sensors. The distance between the magnets and sensors should be less than 12mm. Secure the tail of the sensor with the screw wrench. Notice: Do not force the tail beyond its rotation range to avoid damaging the device.

Diagram Description: Shows measurements 'a' and 'b' indicating distances less than 12mm, and the use of a wrench to fix the sensor tail.

  6. Final Check

Confirm successful installation by turning the crank and the back wheel of the bicycle. The speed LED should show blue, and the cadence LED should show green. Once confirmed, tighten all cable ties, cut off excess parts, and secure all accessories with the rubber band.

Diagram Description: Shows the bicycle with the installed sensors and indicates the LED Light and Rubber Band.

Battery Replacement

If the device is not detected, consider replacing the battery.

  1. Rotate the battery cover to the OPEN direction to take off the battery cover.
  2. Remove the old battery and dispose of it properly according to local regulations. (Recycling symbol ♻️)
  3. Install the new battery, paying attention to the positive (+) and negative (-) poles. Use the battery cover tool to rotate the battery cover in the opposite direction of OPEN to secure it.

⚠️ To avoid danger, batteries should be kept away from children.

Diagram Description: The diagrams illustrate opening the battery cover, removing the battery, and inserting a new battery.
