VI. Change strings and fine-tune your LAVA ME 3
How to change strings
When the strings are used for too long, we may need to replace them with new ones.
- Grasp the small ball at the end of the string and pull the string back;
- Twist the tuner, and loosen the string, and remove the head of the string (only one end of the metal wire) from the tuner;
- Hold the strings tightly and push them towards the end of the body. The small ball at the end of the string is exposed from the threading hole at the back of the bridge;
- Pass the head of the string through the threading hole of the bridge from the back to the head;
- Then thread into the small hole of the tuner and twist the tuner to make the string tighten.
Fine-tuning
There is no need to adjust the whole neck, but you can fine-tune the height between the strings and the fingerboard according to your preferences.
- Twist the tuner, and loosen 6 strings until the bone on the bridge can be easily taken out;
- Prepare a piece of 800-mesh sandpaper, grasp the top of the bone, and lightly polish the bottom of the bone on the sandpaper;
- According to the brace height you need to adjust, adjust the height of the lower saddle.
★After the bone is lowered, the nut will be reduced accordingly.
During the adjustment process, please polish slowly, and then put it back on the bridge to try the sense of touch.
Never over-adjust at a time. If the bone is too short, you will not be able to feel the best playing experience.
