Safety Information
- Make sure the power is OFF at the circuit breaker controlling the thermostat you are replacing.
- The thermostat must be installed and used in accordance with your local electrical code. If you are unfamiliar with these codes, or feel uncomfortable performing the installation, please call a qualified electrician.
- Do NOT install the thermostat with wet hands or when standing on wet or damp surfaces.
- Compatible with high/line voltage (120-240 VAC) electric heating system only.

Getting to Know Your Thermostat
The thermostat features a digital display and control buttons. The display shows current temperature, set temperature, Wi-Fi status, and operational modes. Key indicators and buttons are labeled as follows:
- Indicators:
- A: Current temperature/Set temperature
- B: Wi-Fi connection status ?
- C: Auto (Schedule) mode ?
- D: Temperature presets: Comfort ?️, Sleep ?, Economy ?
- E: Open window detected ?️
- F: Heating status ?
- Buttons:
- G: Mode button ⚙️
- H: Power button ?
- I: Up and Down buttons ⬆️ / ⬇️
Operation Notes:
- The device automatically stops heating if a sudden temperature drop is detected (e.g., from an open window or door). It will resume its previous status after 30 minutes if no action is taken, or can be manually resumed by pressing any button or via the Meross app.
- Press the Mode button to switch between Auto mode and three temperature presets. A long press of the Mode button for 3 seconds temporarily unlocks the child lock.
- Tap the Power button to turn the device on/off. When powered off, press and hold for 3 seconds to restart the device.
- Press and hold the Up and Down buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds to perform a factory reset.
Wiring Diagram
The wiring diagram illustrates the connections for the thermostat. It shows the thermostat unit connected to wires labeled L(L1), L2(N), and Load, which then connect to the heating system. The diagram specifies wire colors for clarity:
- L(L1) and Load: Black insulated wires
- L2(N): Red or White insulated wires
Installation Guide
Step 1: Download the Meross App
Download the Meross app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Scan the provided QR code or search for "Meross" in your app store. The app will guide you through the wiring process.
Step 2: Set Up the Device
- Connect your smartphone or tablet to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure your smart device is covered by a strong Wi-Fi signal.
- Launch the Meross app and log in to your account, or if you are a new user, tap "Sign up" to create a new account.
- Tap the "+" icon to select the type of smart device you want to add (MTS215), then follow the setup wizard to finish configuration.
Note: The MTS215 only supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi networks.
Important: If this is not the first time you have added this smart device, you will need to reset it by pressing and holding the Up and Down buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi LED starts blinking.

How to Use
(1) Device Control Page
The Meross app's device control page allows you to monitor and manage your thermostat. You can check the current temperature, humidity, and outdoor temperature. You can also set the target temperature and enable or disable the schedule feature.
(2) Device Settings
- Linked Services: Add or remove third-party smart home services compatible with Matter, such as Alexa, Apple Home, or Google Home. If you do not have a Matter Hub or use the Matter platform, you can still link the thermostat directly to voice assistants on the User page.
- Child Lock: Turn on/off the child lock. Press and hold the "Mode" button for 3 seconds to temporarily unlock the child lock.
- Schedule: View and edit daily schedules with target temperatures and times for different periods throughout the week.
- Preferences: Customize settings such as switching differential, screen brightness, temperature presets, hold actions (temporary temperature overrides), and temperature units (°F / °C).
- Advanced: Check and adjust advanced settings, including calibration, open window detection, frost protection, and summer mode.
- Energy Usage: Track and export heating usage data.
FAQ
What kind of heating system can MTS200 work with?
The MTS200 works with multiple high/line voltage (120-240 VAC) heating systems, such as Baseboard, Self-Contained Hydronic, Convector, Fan-Forced, and In-Ceiling Radiant systems. It does not work with 24VAC HVAC systems.
