General Guidelines
Please read the following instructions carefully and use the product accordingly. Please keep this manual and hand it over when you transfer the product. This summary may not include every detail of all variations and considered steps. Please contact us when further information and help are needed.
Installation Steps
In order to assemble the most comfortable hammock, SONGMICS recommends you to assemble this item according to the following steps:
Step 1: Measure Suspension Distance
Measure the available suspension distance A (distance between tree and tree, wall and wall, wall and tree).
Step 2: Adjust Rope Length
Extend the hammock with ropes to make sure that the total length of the hammock (including the length of hammock and ropes) is 1.2 times longer than the available suspension distance A.
Step 3: Fix Height
Fix the hammock at a height which is 25% of the length of the available suspension distance A.
Step 4: Hang Level
The head end (C) and foot end (D) should be hung at the same level. The height can be adjusted by extending the length of ropes. The ropes should stretch smoothly without tangle or knots.
Step 5: Account for Stretch
Please note that the hammock may extend 15% after use. If it touches the ground after using for several times, please shorten the length of ropes. Meanwhile, please do not stretch the hammock too tight; the distance between the lowest point of the hammock (under load) and the ground should be between 20-40 cm.
