RF WIRELESS MODE
PC: Connect the wireless USB transmitter to a USB (type-A) port on your PC. Press the power button on the headset. The headset defaults to RF wireless mode. The optimal range is up to 50 feet (15.24m), but performance may be affected by other wireless devices, electronics, and obstructions like walls.
Note: The first time you use the CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELESS headset on a PC, the operating system will automatically install a device driver. A PC reboot is recommended after driver installation.
PLAYSTATION: Connect the wireless USB transmitter to a USB port on your PS4 or PS5 console. In the PlayStation UI, set "Output to Headphones" to "All Audio". Set the console volume control (Headphones) to maximum, then adjust the volume using the headset's volume control.
BLUETOOTH MODE
With the headset powered on, press and hold the MFB until the status LED rapidly blinks red and blue to enable pairing. Once paired, the status LED will blink blue. A quick press of the power button toggles between RF wireless and Bluetooth modes.
In RF wireless mode, the status LED indicates battery level: red (low), orange (medium), green (high). When paired via Bluetooth with a mobile phone, the headset will only accept and receive phone calls.
A quick press of the power button enters Bluetooth mode, enabling both phone calls and Bluetooth audio playback.
The headset defaults to the last mode it was set to when turned off.
ANSWERING AND ENDING PHONE CALLS
To answer an incoming call, single press the MFB. To end the call, single press the MFB again.
LISTENING TO MUSIC (MEDIA PLAYBACK)
To play a track, single press the MFB. To pause playback, single press the MFB again. To skip forward, press the MFB twice quickly. To skip backwards, press the MFB three times quickly.
FOR OPTIMAL WIRELESS PERFORMANCE
- Place the wireless USB receiver in an open, unobstructed area.
- Ensure the battery is fully charged before initial use.
- To maximize battery life, avoid leaving the battery fully discharged for extended periods. Keeping the battery in a partially charged state is recommended.
- Keep the headset at room temperature (20-30°C or 68-86°F).
Note: Prolonged listening at high volumes can adversely affect hearing. Take breaks between sessions and always start with the volume at a low level before increasing it.
iCUE SOFTWARE
Download the iCUE Software from corsair.com/support/downloads to unlock the full feature set of the HS80 MAX WIRELESS headset. The USB Wireless Receiver must be connected to your PC to use iCUE software.
Note: Some features will be disabled if the headset is used without the software.
- Install the iCUE software on a PC running Windows 10 or later, or on macOS.
- After installation, reboot your PC and launch iCUE.
iCUE SOFTWARE CAN BE USED TO:
- Select and customize audio equalizer (EQ) settings.
- Enable SoundID™ audio personalization. Requires the USB Wireless Receiver to enable (not available with Bluetooth).
The software's built-in documentation provides detailed instructions on using the HS80 MAX WIRELESS features.

MICROPHONE CONTROL
Flip the microphone boom up to mute and flip it down to unmute.
Note: iCUE software can also be used to control these features.
For optimal performance, bend the flexible microphone boom to position it near the left corner of your mouth. A 30-degree bend is a good starting point, but you can adjust this if your voice sounds too loud or too soft.
VOLUME CONTROL
Use the volume control/EQ select wheel to adjust volume up or down. Pressing the volume wheel cycles through four audio EQ presets.
CHARGING
The CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELESS Headset must be fully charged before its first use.
- Connect the USB charging cable to a working USB port on your PC.
- Connect the USB charging cable to the CORSAIR HS80 MAX WIRELESS Headset.
The headset battery has no "memory effect," so complete discharge before recharging is not necessary. The USB charging cable requires a high-power USB 2.0 or better port. Some older USB ports may not support USB 2.0.
BATTERY STATUS LED INDICATIONS (ON HEADSET)
LOW | MEDIUM | HIGH |
---|---|---|
RED | ORANGE | GREEN |
The status LED pulses while charging and turns solid green when fully charged. When not charging, the status LED blinks based on the power levels indicated above.
WIRELESS STATUS LED INDICATIONS (ON WIRELESS USB RECEIVER)
- When the receiver is connected to the headset and operating normally, the LED is solid white.
- If the receiver cannot connect to the headset, the LED blinks red rapidly.
- If the headset and receiver are powered on and the LED is still blinking red, use iCUE software to re-pair the transmitter to the headset.
