Thank you for purchasing this tablet. It brings you much convenience for your business (supports Word, Excel, send & receive e-mails...) and entertainment (supports 3D game, chatting, movie playback, eBooks.....).
Running on Android 4.1, with a 1.6 GHz processor and highly responsive capacitive touch screen, it brings you a wonderful user experience. Before beginning, please refer to this user manual carefully.
Important Notices
- The new battery will be in its best condition after 2-3 times full charge and discharge.
- While using the earphone, if the volume is excessively high it may cause hearing damage. Adjust the volume to a moderate level and balance the time of using.
- Do not disconnect the tablet suddenly when formatting or uploading and downloading, as this can lead to program errors.
- Do not dismantle the tablet yourself, and do not use alcohol, thinner, or benzene to clean its surface.
- Do not use the tablet while driving or walking.
- The tablet is not moisture and water resistant. Do not use it in a damp environment.
- Do not drop or hit it to a hard surface, or the screen may get damaged.
- Do not upgrade the firmware yourself, as this would cause damage to your tablet.
Keys and Functions
The tablet has the following keys and ports:
- 1. Front camera: 2M pixel camera.
- 2. ESC key: Tap to return to the previous screen/page.
- 3. Vol+ key: Press to increase the volume.
- 4. Vol- key: Press to decrease the volume.
- 5. Menu key: Tap to view the option menu. When tapped from within an application, it displays sub-menus for that application.
- 6. Front Speaker (left side).
- 7. Front Speaker (right side).
- 8. Charging indicator: Light indicates battery charging status.
- 9. Power jack (DC input): Connect to a 9V output adaptor.
- 10. TF card slot: For inserting your TF card (Micro SD).
- 11. HDMI: Connect to TV output via an HDMI cable.
- 12. Earphone jack: For connecting your earphone (3.5mm jack).
- 13. Mini-USB slot: Connect to a computer via a USB cable for data transfer (e.g., music, videos, photos).
- 14. USB HOST / USB OTG: Supports mouse, keyboard, USB flash disk, etc., with a converting cable.
- 15. SIM SLOT: For inserting a SIM card.
- 16. Power and lock key: Hold and press to turn on or off the unit. Briefly press to turn on or off the screen.
- 17. MIC: Microphone.
- 18. Reset: Press with a pin to reset the tablet if it freezes or behaves abnormally.
- 19. Rear camera: 3M pixel rear camera.
I. Getting Started
1.1 Turn on/off
1.1.1 Turn on: Press and hold the power key (16) on the right side of your tablet for a while. On the lock screen, tab and drag the lock icon out of the circle to unlock. Dragging right leads to the home screen; dragging left leads directly to the camera.
1.1.2 Turn off: Press and hold the power button (16) until the "Would you like to shut down?" dialog appears, then tap "OK" to power off.
1.2 Lock/unlock the screen (sleep mode)
To save battery, put the tablet in sleep mode by briefly pressing the power key (16) to turn off the LCD display. Press it again to wake up the screen.
1.3 Connect to computer
Connect your tablet to your computer using the supplied USB cable to transfer media files. If your computer uses Windows XP, install Windows Media Player 11, as Android 4.1 requires its support.
II. Your Home Screen
The home screen allows you to arrange shortcuts and widgets. It has four extensions (two to the right, two to the left) for more space.
Screen Elements:
- A. Google search: Tap to enter the Google search page (requires Wi-Fi connection).
- B. Voice search: Tap to activate voice search.
- C. ESC key: Tap to return to the previous screen/page.
- D. Home: Tap to return directly to the main Home page.
- E. Recent operations: Tap to view recent commands/apps.
- F. Volume -: Tap to decrease the volume.
- G. Volume +: Tap to increase the volume.
- H. Applications page: Tap the icon to view all installed applications.
- I. Connect to PC: These icons appear when the device is connected to a PC, allowing selection as Media Device or Camera.
- L. Wi-Fi: Indicates signal strength and connection status to a Wi-Fi/3G network.
- M. Battery Level: Indicates the battery charge status.
2.1 Change wallpaper for home screen
On the home screen, tap and hold a blank space. A pop-up menu will appear allowing you to choose wallpaper from Gallery, Live Wallpapers, or Wallpapers.
2.2 Add/delete applications on home screen
You can add frequently-used app icons to the home page or delete less frequently-used ones. Tap the app launcher (usually in the top right corner) to see all apps, then tap and drag an app to the home screen. To delete an app, tap and hold it, then drag it to the 'Remove' icon.
2.3 Add widgets to home screen
From the App Launcher, tap 'WIDGETS'. You can add analog clocks, bookmarks, calendars, emails, and other widgets. Drag the desired widget to the home screen. You can also access four additional panels by sliding left or right.
III. Network Connection
3.1 Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi can be used with a Wi-Fi Access Point (AP) or a free unsecured Wi-Fi hotspot. Access "Wireless & networks" settings to configure Wi-Fi. To connect to an Internet network, you must first configure a Wireless network. The device will automatically try to connect to previously configured Wi-Fi zones if the function is active.
ATTENTION: Activating Wi-Fi connection disables the 3G connection.
Activating/Deactivating Wi-Fi: In the Applications page, select "Settings" > "Wireless & networks", then select ON. To deactivate, select OFF.
Note: To increase battery life, it is recommended to disable Wi-Fi when not in use.
Search and connect to a Wi-Fi network: After selecting ON, the tablet will search for available Wi-Fi networks and display a list. Tap "Scan" to rescan. Select the desired network and enter the password if required. Tap "Connect". A Wi-Fi status icon will appear in the status bar.
3.2 3G Network
3G provides high-speed mobile data access. The tablet supports 3G via SIM card or an external 3G dongle connected via USB HOST. Insert the SIM card with the device off. To use 3G, navigate to Settings > More > Turn on Modem power. Wait for the 3G signal to appear. For 3G dongles, connect via USB HOST and ensure Modem power is off. Note: Ensure the 3G dongle is compatible; testing before purchase is recommended.
When Wi-Fi is activated, the tablet automatically deactivates 3G. If Wi-Fi is turned off after use, both Wi-Fi and 3G connections will be deactivated, allowing for other functions without draining the battery for network circuits.
IV. Internet Browsing
Ensure Wi-Fi or internet is connected before browsing. In the app panel, tap the browser icon to open the browser. Tap the address bar to bring up the virtual keyboard for entering keywords or URLs.
During browsing, tap the Menu key (5) or the menu icon to access settings and sub-menus. The Android 4.1 operating system supports Adobe Flash Player 11.1, allowing direct video playback within websites.
V. Install and Manage Apps
5.1 Install Apps
To install applications, go to "ApkInstaller" in the applications page. Tap 'Install', then select "Internal Memory" or "TF Card" to find available .apk files. Tap the desired file to install. Ensure the .apk file is compatible with Android 4.0 and has the .apk suffix. If an app icon does not appear after installation, it might be incompatible or the file may be corrupted.
5.2 Manage Apps
In 'APKInstaller', tap 'Manage' to launch, export, or uninstall apps. You can also manage apps via Settings > Apps.
VI. Multi-media Function
6.1 Music
After loading music, tap the music icon to open the music player. You can select songs by Artist, Album, songs, or Playlists. The player allows shuffling, skipping, pausing, and displays album artwork.
6.2 Video
Play videos stored on the tablet or TF card by tapping the Video icon. The video player toolbar allows playback control, bookmarking, brightness adjustment, and screen ratio setting. You can also view online videos with Wi-Fi enabled.
6.2.2 HDMI Output
Connect the tablet to your TV via HDMI cable. The TV should receive the signal shortly. Adjust TV settings if necessary. HDMI cable is not included. You can operate the tablet while connected via HDMI. In "Settings" > HDMI, you can activate/deactivate output, adjust resolution, and frame the picture on the TV.
6.3 Gallery
View, display, and edit digital pictures on the tablet's high-resolution display. Tap the Gallery icon to display pictures. Swipe left or right to view other images. Pinch to zoom. Tap the menu icon to edit, rotate, crop, or set an image as wallpaper.
6.4 Camera
Tap the Camera icon to open the camera. The tablet has a 2MP front camera and a 3MP rear camera for photos and videos. You can access the camera directly from the lock screen by dragging the lock to the left.
6.5 E-book reader
The tablet supports various e-book formats (PDF, Text, E-Pub, FB2...). Tap the 'e-book' icon to open the e-book shelf. Select a book to read. Swipe left or right to turn pages. Tap the menu icon or the Menu key (5) to access the toolbar for font size, page jump, bookmarks, and auto-flip time settings.
VII. Setting
The Settings menu allows configuration of the device. Tap the "Settings" icon to access various options:
- Wi-Fi: Navigate to "Settings" > "Wireless & networks" to turn on Wi-Fi and scan for networks. Connect to a strong network, entering the password if prompted.
- Display: Adjust brightness, wallpaper, sleep time-out, and font size.
- Storage: Check internal storage. For Micro SD cards or USB disks, check space and unmount before removal.
- Battery: View battery status and usage times.
- Display: (Repeated, likely refers to further display settings like screen timeout).
- Language & input: Set desired language, enable/disable autocorrect, configure virtual keyboard, voice commands, and pointer speed.
- Backup & reset: Access "back up my data" and "Factory data reset". Factory reset erases all internal storage data, downloaded apps, etc. Use with caution.
- About Tablet: View information like Model number and Android version.
VIII. Battery
The battery status is indicated by icons: 'Very low Battery', 'Full Battery', 'Charging Battery'. A full battery is indicated by a green light. A low battery prompt will appear when charging is needed. While charging, the lock screen shows the charging status (e.g., "Charging, 36%").
Charging takes approximately 5 hours. Use only the supplied 9V/2.5A adaptor.
Troubleshooting
- Cannot turn on the tablet: Check power level and charge the tablet. If it still won't turn on, try resetting it.
- No sound from earphone: Check if the volume is set to '0'. The earphone may be broken; try another one.
- Big noise: Check for dust in the earphone or speaker. The file itself might be corrupted.
- Frozen to any operation: Use a pin to press the reset button and restart the tablet.
- Screen drift or unresponsive screen: Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch panel calibration. If calibration fails, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to force shutdown, then restart. Alternatively, use a USB mouse for calibration.
- Application not workable: The app may be incompatible with the OS, or the downloaded .apk file might be corrupted. Download a full version.
- How to delete a Google account: Go to Settings > Accounts & sync. To delete an account, go to Settings > Privacy settings > Factory data reset. This will erase internal storage, downloaded apps, etc. Be careful.
