Trevi RA 762 Portable Radio

Description of Controls

The Trevi RA 762 features several controls and indicators. The diagram shows the following components:

• 1. Rod Antenna: Extendable antenna for FM reception.
• 2. Dial Scale: Displays frequency bands (FM/AM).
• 3. Tuning Knob: Used to tune into desired stations.
• 4. Band Switch (AM/FM): Selects between AM (Medium Wave) and FM (Frequency Modulation) bands.
• 5. Volume Knob / ON-OFF Knob: Controls power and volume level.
• 6. Phone Jack: For connecting headphones (3.5mm plug, 4-32 ohm impedance).
• 7. AC Socket: For connecting the mains power adapter.
• 8. Battery Compartment: Located on the back, holds 4 x "C" batteries.
• 9. Radio ON Indicator: Shows when the radio is powered on.
• 10. Speaker: Built-in speaker.

Power Operation

AC Power Operation

Connect the supplied mains lead to the AC socket (7) on the radio and then plug it into an AC outlet. Connecting the mains lead automatically disables battery power.

Battery Power Operation

Install 4 x "C" batteries (not included) into the battery compartment (8) on the back of the device, observing the correct polarity. Remove batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period.

Operation

1. Turn the Volume knob / ON-OFF knob (5) clockwise until a click is heard to turn the radio on.
2. Select the desired radio band using the Band switch (4): FM for frequency modulation or AM for medium wave.
3. Tune to the desired station using the Tuning knob (3).
4. Adjust the listening level with the Volume knob (5).

Reception Notes

For optimal FM reception, extend and orient the rod antenna (1). The AM band antenna is internal; orienting the device directly will improve AM reception.

Headphones

Connect headphones (not included) with a 3.5mm plug and an impedance between 4 and 32 ohms to the Phone jack (6). The built-in speaker will be automatically disconnected when headphones are plugged in.

Maintenance

This is a high-precision electronic instrument. Avoid using it in very humid, dusty, or places with extreme temperature fluctuations. Do not expose it to direct sunlight. Clean the radio with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid using detergents, abrasives, or solvents, as they may damage the unit.

Warranty

1. The unit is guaranteed for 24 months from the date of manufacture indicated on the product label.
2. The warranty is valid only for units that have not been tampered with and have been repaired by authorized Trevi service centers. It covers manufacturing defects of components, excluding labels, knobs, and removable parts.
3. Trevi is not liable for direct or indirect damage to property or persons caused by the use or interruption of use of the unit.

• Do not expose to rain or humidity.
• Do not open the appliance. No user-serviceable parts inside. Refer servicing to authorized Trevi service centers.

Electrical Safety (UK Plug):

Wires in the mains lead are colored as follows: Blue (Neutral), Brown (Live). Connect Blue wire to N (or Black) terminal, Brown wire to L (or Red) terminal. Do not connect to the earth terminal. If the fuse fails, replace it with a 3 Amp ASTA approved BS 1362 fuse.
