9. Adding Game Methods
There are multiple ways to copy games:
The First Type (compatible with multiple Windows systems):
- Insert the game console memory card into a computer.
- Open DiskGenius software and ensure it recognizes the memory card.
- Locate the 'rom' folder and place the game in the corresponding subfolder.
- Safely eject the memory card after the transfer.
The Second Type:
Insert the game console's memory card directly into a Windows 10 computer. Find the data mobile hard disk and copy the game to the corresponding emulator's 'roms' folder.
The Third Type (network connection):
- Connect the device to the network first.
- View the IP address of the device. In the example, the IP address is 10.10.10.117.
- Access the device via a computer's resource manager by entering
\10.10.10.117
and pressing Enter. - If prompted for a username and password, use the default: username 'root', password 'emuelec'.
- Open the Storage/Roms Folder. You will see many subfolders, each corresponding to a simulator game. Place the game files in the correct folder for identification.
- Example folder list for emulators:
Emulator Type | Folder Path |
---|---|
Arcade-FBA format | roms\arcade\fba |
Arcade-MAME format | roms\arcade\mame2003 |
SNES | roms\snes |
PSP | roms\psp |
PS1 | roms\psx |
NES/FC | roms\nes |
Note: The system distinguishes games by folder name. Do not modify the directory structure; simply copy game files to the corresponding emulator's folder.
10. Change Game Emulators
If individual games cannot be opened or you wish to try different emulators, follow these steps:
- Select the game you want to change the emulator for.
- Long press the B key.
- Navigate to Game settings menu -> Advanced Game Options -> Emulator -> Choose the right emulator.
The system displays game information, including the game title, developer, genre, and release date. It also provides options to change the emulator, view game media, save states, find similar games, delete the game, add to favorites, and adjust options like aspect ratio and shaders.
11. Q&A
- Can I change the resolution? The game system's resolution is adaptive; do not change it manually.
- Can I add games by myself? Yes, the Super Console X2 Pro uses an open-source Linux system and supports adding games independently.
- I changed some settings in EmuELEC and it's now not working, what should I do? Avoid changing advanced settings in EmuELEC as it may cause malfunction. If the game card is not formatted, recovery is possible. Contact customer support or search online for "EmuELEC" issues for guides and fixes.
