Intended Use
The AquaOxy unit is intended for aeration and supplying oxygen to garden ponds. During winter months, it can be used to keep the pond surface ice-free.
Restrictions:
- Do not use in swimming pools.
- Do not use for commercial or industrial purposes.
! Important! The unit is equipped with a permanent magnet. The magnetic field may affect the function of pacemakers.
Use other than that intended can be dangerous and cause harm. Any use not in accordance with these instructions or modification(s) to the unit will void the limited warranty.
Installation
- Place the AquaOxy Air Pump on a stable, level surface, above the water level in your pond.
- Connect one end of each of the included air hoses to the outlets on the AquaOxy Air Pump and connect the other ends to each of the air stones.
- Place the air stones in the pond at a minimum depth of 12 inches (30 cm) and a maximum depth of 7 feet (2.1 m).
- In areas with cold weather, position the air stones in a shallow area to allow fish to congregate in the calmer lower levels.
Start-up
⚠ Attention! Dangerous electrical voltage. Possible consequences: Death or serious injuries. Protective measures: Disconnect power supply to all units used in the water before reaching into it. Disconnect the power plug before carrying out work on the unit.
Important: The air pump switches on automatically when power is connected. Air will emerge from the aeration stones after a short start-up time. Protect the connection cable if burying.
- Switching on: Connect power plug to the socket.
- Switching off: Disconnect the power plug.
Maintenance and Cleaning

If performance decreases, clean the air intake opening at the base of the housing.
Replacing the Diaphragms
Diaphragms are wear parts and need to be replaced occasionally. Always replace diaphragms in pairs (left and right).
- Disconnect the power supply first and secure the unit to prevent unintentional switching on.
- Remove the hood by unscrewing the screws from the unit underside.
- Disconnect the connection hoses from the pump heads on the left and right sides.
- Lift the motor block.
- Remove the diaphragm chamber fitted with four screws.
- Replace the membrane after loosening the screw and removing the support disk. Ensure correct insertion (note the shape).
- Reassemble the unit in reverse order and put it back into operation.
Storage/Winterization
- Take the air hoses out of the water and clean them.
- Check the unit for damage and store it in a frost-free environment.
Disposal
⚠ Do not dispose of this unit with domestic waste! Disable the unit beforehand by cutting off the cables. Further information about the recycling of this product can be obtained from your local municipal authority.
