Important Clearances:

Installation Warnings

Electrical Connection

DC Connection (12V/24V):

Use appropriate cable cross-sections (Ø/mm²) based on cable length (l/m) for 12V and 24V systems. Refer to the diagram for recommended values (e.g., 10 mm² for 8m at 12V, 4 mm² for 8m at 24V).

Ensure correct polarity (+/-) when connecting.

AC Connection (100-240V):

Connect to a suitable AC power source. A residual current device (RCD) is recommended for safety.

Air Flow Requirements

Proper air circulation is crucial for optimal performance and longevity. Ensure minimum clearances of 50 mm (2 inches) at the rear (A) and sides (B) of the unit. Insufficient airflow can lead to reduced cooling efficiency and shortened lifespan.

Condensation Drain

The condensation drain system should be installed correctly to manage moisture. Ensure the drain tube is properly connected and routed.

Reversing the Door

The refrigerator door can be reversed to suit installation requirements. Follow these steps:

  1. Remove the bottom hinge and lift the door off.
  2. Remove the top hinge and transfer it to the opposite side.
  3. Transfer the door handle and latch mechanism.
  4. Mount the door with the new top hinge, then attach the bottom hinge.
  5. Ensure the door is properly aligned and closes securely.

Sliding Hinge Installation

For installations requiring a sliding hinge mechanism, follow these steps:

  1. Attach the sliding hinge components to the refrigerator and the cabinet.
  2. Ensure correct alignment and secure all fixings.
  3. Test the sliding mechanism for smooth operation.

Ensure clearances of 1-2 mm (0.04-0.08 in) for the sliding mechanism and a maximum of 40 mm (1.6 in) for the hinge mounting.

Fixing and Framing

Secure the unit within its intended frame or mounting location. Ensure all fixing points are stable and properly fastened.
