Warning:
- Use a soft damp cloth to clean the surfaces in contact with food and ensure all food residues stuck to the appliance are removed.
- Do not place the power cord under the appliance when in use.

- The surface of the heating element may remain hot after use.
- Never use accessories or parts from other manufacturers or parts not recommended by Philips, as this will invalidate your guarantee.
- Do not expose the appliance to high temperatures, nor place it on a working or still hot stove or cooker.
- Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight.
- Place the appliance on a well-ventilated, heat-resistant surface.
- Always place the inner pot in the appliance before plugging it in and switching it on.
- Do not place the inner pot directly over an open fire to cook rice.
- Do not use the inner pot if it is deformed.
- Take extra caution when touching the appliance as some surfaces may become hot during operation.
- Beware of hot steam escaping from the steam vent or lid opening. Keep hands and face away from the appliance to avoid steam burns.
- Do not move the appliance while it is operating.
- Do not exceed the maximum water level indicated in the inner pot to prevent overflow, which might cause a potential hazard.
- Do not place cooking utensils inside the pot while cooking, keeping warm, or exhausting rice.
- Only use the cooking utensils provided with the appliance.
- To avoid scratches, it is not recommended to cook ingredients with hard shells or sharp edges. Remove any hard particles before cooking.
- Do not insert metallic objects or foreign substances into the steam vent.
- Do not place magnetic substances on the lid or use the appliance near magnetic substances.
- Always allow the appliance to cool down completely before cleaning or moving it.
- Store the appliance after use. Do not clean the appliance in a dishwasher.
- Unplug the appliance if it is not used for a longer period.
- The operating altitude range of the appliance is 0 - 2000 meters.
- If the appliance is used improperly or for professional or semi-professional purposes, or if it is not used according to the instructions in this user manual, the guarantee becomes invalid and Philips disclaims liability for any damage caused.
Power-failure Memory Function
The power-failure memory function allows the appliance to resume operation from its previous state if a power outage occurs. If a power outage occurs during cooking and power is restored within 2 hours, the cooking process will not be interrupted and the cooking time will not be reset.

Note: The default cooking times are indicative. Actual cooking times may vary based on the amount of ingredients, water temperature, and ambient cooking environment. The cooking time for the 'Fast Cook' function may be adjusted automatically.
Using Your Rice Cooker
Before First Use
- Remove all accessories and packaging materials from the inner pot.
- Clean the rice cooker thoroughly before the first use (refer to the "Cleaning and Maintenance" section).
- Ensure all parts are completely dry before operation.
- Make sure the outside of the inner pot is clean and dry, free from any residue.
Preparations Before Cooking
- Ensure the detachable inner lid and steam valve are correctly installed.
- Add food or liquid to the inner pot, ensuring the amount is within the indicated water level markings.
- For rice cooking, follow the water level indications inside the inner pot. Adjust water levels according to rice type and preference, but do not exceed the maximum indicated quantities.
- After starting the cooking process, you can press the 'Start/Cancel' button to cancel and return the rice cooker to standby mode.
Cooking Rice
- Follow the preparation steps.
- Press the 'Choose Menu' button to select the 'White Rice' function.
- The indicator for the selected function will blink.
- The default cooking time will be displayed.
- Press 'Start' to begin the cooking process.
- When cooking is finished, an audible signal will sound, and the selected cooking function light will illuminate.
- The rice cooker will automatically switch to 'Keep Warm' mode, indicated by the 'Keep Warm' indicator light.
Notes:
- Press 'Start/Cancel' to terminate the current cooking process.
- Water level markings are for guidance; adjust water for different rice types and preferences.
- A common ratio for rice cooking is 1 part rice to 2 parts water, but this can be adjusted.
- Do not exceed the maximum volume indicated in the inner pot or main pot to prevent overflow.
Congee and Soup
- Place all ingredients into the inner pot.
- Follow the preparation steps.
- Press the 'Choose Menu' button to select the 'Congee' or 'Soup' function.
- The indicator for the selected function will blink.
- The default cooking time will be displayed.
Notes:
- You can press the 'Cooking Time' button to adjust the cooking time, which will blink on the screen.
- Press 'Start' to begin the cooking process.
- When cooking is finished, an audible signal will sound, and the selected cooking function light will illuminate.
- The rice cooker will automatically switch to 'Keep Warm' mode.
- The 'Keep Warm' indicator lights up.
Preset Time for Delayed Cooking
- The preset function is available for most cooking programs except 'Cake' and 'Keep Warm'.
- The preset timer duration should be longer than the cooking time.
- To enjoy cooked rice at a specific time, set the preset timer accordingly (e.g., set to 8 hours if you want rice ready in 8 hours).
Notes:
- Choose the desired cooking function.
- Press the 'Cooking Time Booking' button to set the desired delayed start time. The 'Cooking Time Booking' indicator will blink.
- The time on the screen will blink, allowing you to adjust the hours and minutes.
- Press 'Start' to confirm the preset time.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Inner Lid
Remove the inner lid. Wash the inner lid in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Ensure it is completely dry before reattaching.
Steam Valve
Remove the steam valve. Rinse the steam valve under running water to remove any food residues. Ensure it is completely dry before reattaching.
Interior
Wipe the inside of the appliance with a damp cloth. Ensure the heating element is clean and dry.
Exterior
Wipe the appliance exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners.
Recycling
Dispose of the appliance responsibly at the end of its life according to local regulations for electronic waste recycling.

Troubleshooting
