The Blue Marine Concept

Blue Marine (BM) tanks are sold with matching equipment, including a BM lamp, BM skimmer, and BM Reef Power circulation pump. All necessary pipework with easy fittings is included for simplified installation and silent operation. The equipment is designed to maintain the stable physicochemical characteristics, high sunlight, and water movement crucial for marine organisms, mimicking their natural reef environments.

The filtration system in Blue Marine aquariums follows the principles of the Berlin method, a highly efficient approach developed in the 1970s. BM has advanced this method by using improved materials to prevent the accumulation of harmful nitrogen compounds like nitrates and phosphates. The Blue Marine protein skimmer eliminates precursors like proteins, while the specialized blue marine lights simulate natural tropical lighting to support the symbiotic zooxanthellae algae essential for coral development.

Note: Heaters and wavemakers are not included with the BM tanks.

Innovative Cabinet Design

Addressing the common issue of corrosion, even with stainless steel, Blue Marine has developed a unique cabinet made from lightweight and corrosion-resistant aluminum. Constructed from honeycomb aluminum panels, the cabinets are pre-assembled, offering exceptional strength and lightness. They feature magnetic doors, eliminating alignment issues, and rubber seals to prevent light leakage. The integral strength of the cabinets negates the need for additional supports, providing excellent access to the sump and integrated ventilation openings.

The contemporary open-top design of the tanks and stylish cabinets complement any interior. Tanks are made from crystal-clear, low-iron glass for optimal viewing. The wider tank dimensions offer a more balanced aspect ratio, enhancing the viewing experience and allowing for easier, more natural aquascaping.

The BM Reef 60 is a nano tank ideal for starting the hobby. It features a complete integrated filtration system in the rear, including a circulation pump, skimmer, and pre-filtration foam. The 11W LED light provides a color temperature of 12000K with a mix of white, blue, red, and green LEDs.

Blue Marine Reef 120 Coraltank

Skimmers

Blue Marine offers a range of quality Sump Skimmers (Skim 300, 500, 750, 1250) featuring the new Blue Marine Reef Power pumps with Needle Wheel rotors for optimal air intake. These skimmers have improved level control and noise-reduced air inlets. They include large foam collection cups with convenient draining outlets and hoses with valves for easy cleaning.

Operating Principle: Protein skimmers function as mechanical filters by introducing fine air bubbles into the water. Proteins and other organic waste materials adhere to the air-water interface and are collected, helping to maintain low nitrate levels by removing organic waste before it breaks down.

Algae Reactor

Blue Marine Algae Reactors cultivate microalgae to reduce surplus nutrients like nitrate and phosphate dissolved in aquarium water. They feature a LED Grow light tube with quartz glass for maximum light penetration and efficiency, with the light unit being waterproof (IP68). The algae metabolism helps stabilize pH, increase dissolved oxygen, and can lower dissolved CO2 concentrations.

Reef Power Pumps

Polario Turbine Dual Action Pumps

Energy-efficient, high-flow, low-voltage pumps with dual-action outputs that simulate natural ocean waves and currents. They feature pre-set random flow and alternating outputs. Flow rates range from 2,300 L/h to 10,000 L/h depending on the model. Easy mounting is provided by a 360° pump mounting bracket with a magnet mount.

MaxLED 160

The MaxLED 160 features an ultra-slim, elegant design with high-quality Bridgelux LEDs providing an optimal spectrum for coral health. It includes two smart fans with sensors for precise temperature control and a smart controller for easy programming, including a moonlight setting. The unit comes with adjustable tank brackets, and an optional hanging kit is available.

UFO LED

The Blue Marine UFO LED is a 96W spotlight with a revolutionary design, available in black and white, complete with bracket and hanging kit. An optional WiFi controller allows control via mobile devices (Android), and an optional optical lens enhances light penetration. The UFO LED utilizes Hybrid-Z technology, combining different lights on a special chip to create an effective color ratio and full bio-spectrum for optimal growth and fluorescence.

The Blue Marine Cooling Fan features a smart hang-on design for easy installation. It reduces water temperature by 2-4°C, is safe due to 12V low voltage, and is energy-efficient.

Chillers
