Key Components

  • 1. Air Flow adjusting valve: Controls the amount of air entering the skimmer.
  • 2. Air tube: Connects the air pump to the skimmer.
  • 3. Water Flow adjusting valve: Controls the water flow rate through the skimmer.
  • 4. Water pump: Circulates water within the skimmer.
  • 5. Min./Max. water level indicator: Guides the user on the optimal water level for operation.
  • 6. Collection cup: Gathers the foam and waste produced by the skimmer.
  • 7. Water flow adjusting tool: A tool provided for easy adjustment of the water flow valve.
  • 8. Holding brackets: Securely fasten the skimmer's covers.
  • 9. Adjustable Hang-on bracket: Allows the skimmer to be attached to the aquarium rim.
  • 10. Mounting screw: Secures the hang-on bracket or other components.

This manual provides instructions in English, German, French, and Dutch.

Safety Precautions

  1. Read this manual carefully before use.
  2. The Internal Skimmer 120 is designed for indoor use only.
  3. Ensure the voltage indicated on the product label matches your mains supply voltage.
  4. Prevent water from reaching electrical sockets.
  5. Never operate the pump dry; always keep it submerged in water.
  6. Disconnect the skimmer from the power supply before performing any maintenance on your aquarium.
  7. If the pump's cable is damaged, do not use the skimmer. Recycle the damaged item and order a new pump from your dealer.
  8. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning its use by a person responsible for their safety. Special care should be taken when using electrical equipment by or near children.

Installation Guide

  1. Ensure the holding brackets (8) securing the front and rear covers are tightened.
  2. Verify that the Hang-on bracket (9) is installed correctly.
  3. Confirm that the Air tubing (2) is properly connected to the pump.
  4. Place the skimmer in the aquarium using the adjustable Hang-on bracket (9). Ensure the water level is higher than the minimum water level indicator (5).
  5. Initially, turn the Water Flow adjusting valve (3) to its maximum setting using the Water flow adjusting tool (7).
  6. Connect the power supply.
  7. Adjust the Water Flow adjusting valve (3) downwards. Observe the bubbles; they should move towards the bottom of the collection cup (6).
  8. Adjust the air intake by turning the Air Flow adjusting valve (1). Turning it down (clockwise) increases air, while turning it up (counter-clockwise) decreases air.

Maintenance

Recycling: The symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin indicates that this product must not be disposed of with regular household waste. It should be taken to a designated collection center for electrical and electronic equipment. Alternatively, it can be returned to the seller when purchasing a new, equivalent product (on a 1-to-1 basis). Proper recycling helps protect the environment and conserve resources.

Warranty: This product comes with a 2-year warranty covering materials and manufacturing defects. To claim warranty service, a fully completed warranty certificate and an official purchase receipt with the date of purchase are required. The entire unit with all accessories must be submitted. BlueMarine will determine, upon receipt, whether the unit will be repaired or replaced. BlueMarine is not responsible for damage resulting from incorrect use or user-caused breakages.
