IntesisBox® FJ-RC-KNX-1i
KNX Interface for Fujitsu General Limited Air Conditioners
Introduction
The IntesisBox® FJ-RC-KNX-1i is designed to provide a complete and natural integration of Fujitsu General Limited air conditioners with KNX control systems. It offers simple installation, allowing it to be fitted inside the air conditioner's indoor unit. The device connects directly to the AC unit's BWR bus on one side and to the KNX TP-1 (EIB) bus on the other.
This interface provides great flexibility for KNX projects, with configuration managed directly through ETS (Engineering Tool Software). The device's database includes a comprehensive set of communication objects, enabling simple, quick, and advanced integration, including monitoring and control of all AC unit parameters, as well as specific functions like saving and executing scenes.
It features four configurable binary inputs for potential-free contacts, which can be used to integrate various external devices for functions such as switching, dimming, or shutter/blind control. The IntesisBox® FJ-RC-KNX-1i also supports the use of a KNX temperature sensor for air conditioning control, offering a cost-effective solution for full air conditioning integration within KNX projects.

Parameters
Multiple parameters can be configured via ETS to ensure maximum integration flexibility, enhancing both device functionality and the integrator's workflow. These include settings for mode, special modes, fan speed, vane control, temperature, scenes, and timeouts, as well as configuration for the four binary inputs.
Connection
The FJ-RC-KNX-1i can be used with or without a FUJITSU wired Remote Controller. The KNX connection is made via the device's KNX connector to the KNX TP-1 (EIB) network.
Connection with FUJITSU Wired Remote Controller
Diagram Description: An AC Indoor Unit is shown connected to the IntesisBox FJ-RC-KNX-1i via its internal electronic control board (using GND, Data, Power pins). The IntesisBox is then connected to the KNX TP-1 (EIB) bus. A separate Remote Control unit is also depicted, connected to the IntesisBox. The maximum connection distance for the signal cable is 500 meters.
Connection without FUJITSU Wired Remote Controller
Diagram Description: An AC Indoor Unit is shown connected to the IntesisBox FJ-RC-KNX-1i via its internal electronic control board (using GND, Data, Power pins). The IntesisBox is then connected to the KNX TP-1 (EIB) bus. The four binary inputs are also shown on the IntesisBox. The maximum connection distance for the signal cable is 500 meters.
