Introduction
This document serves as the user manual for the Intesis™ KNX gateway, a device designed for seamless integration of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) air conditioning systems with KNX TP-1 (EIB) control systems. It facilitates the incorporation of MHI air conditioning units into building automation and supervision systems.
The gateway acts as a KNX device, allowing KNX systems to read and write communication objects, effectively treating MHI indoor units as part of the KNX TP-1 (EIB) network. This integration enables comprehensive control and monitoring of various AC functions, including On/Off status, operation modes, setpoint temperatures, fan speeds, and more.
Key Features and Functionality
- System Integration: Connects Mitsubishi Heavy Industries AC systems to KNX TP-1 (EIB) networks.
- Comprehensive Control: Allows monitoring and control of individual indoor unit parameters such as On/Off, Mode, Setpoint Temperature, Fan Speed, Louver Control, Room Temperature, and Error Codes.
- Master Control: Enables simultaneous control of all connected indoor units for functions like On/Off, Mode, Setpoint Temperature, and Fan Speed.
- Configuration Tool: Utilizes the LinkBoxEIB software for device configuration, signal mapping, and monitoring.
- Compatibility: Supports various Mitsubishi Heavy Industries AC unit types and Superlink protocols (Superlink-I and Superlink-II).
Technical Specifications
The Intesis™ KNX gateway is available in two models:
- INKNXMHI048O000: Supports up to 48 indoor units.
- INKNXMHI128O000: Supports up to 128 indoor units.
The device features an industrial sheet metal enclosure and operates within a temperature range of 0°C to +40°C. It connects via KNX TP-1, Superlink (A-B terminals), and Ethernet.
Setup and Troubleshooting
The manual provides detailed instructions for the setup process, including physical connections and software configuration using LinkBoxEIB. Troubleshooting guidance is also included, covering common issues related to LED indicators, physical connections, and software communication.
For detailed information on specific error codes and their resolutions, refer to Section 9 of the full manual.
