Aspen Manufacturing CP Series Dedicated Horizontal Copper Coils with Plenum
This document provides detailed information on the Aspen Manufacturing CP Series of dedicated horizontal copper coils with plenums. These coils are designed for efficient HVAC system performance.
Standard Features
- Rifled copper tubing and enhanced aluminum fins for improved heat transfer.
- Fully insulated cabinet constructed with foil-backed, faced, one-inch thick fiberglass duct-board for the plenum sides and back.
- Immersion tested at 500 psi, followed by nitrogen pressurization and factory sealing to ensure optimal system integrity and long-term reliability.
- Refrigerant lines exit the top of the coil. A Schrader valve is present on the liquid line, or an internally mounted factory-installed TXV is used for pressure assurance testing.
- Refrigerant and Plumbing Connections:
- Liquid line: 3/8" ODS
- Suction line: 3/4" ODS (1-1/2-ton to 3-ton), 7/8" ODS (3-1/2-ton to 5-ton)
- Condensate Drains: 3/4" NPT
- Heavy-duty polypropylene drain pans.
- A secondary metal drain pan is included with 1" spacing around the cabinet for straightforward installation.
- Three-piece service door on top for easy access.
- Fully insulated cabinets with faced insulation.
- AHRI certifiable with all brands of A/C and heat pump systems.
- Refrigerant Compatibility:
- A2L refrigerants require a Refrigerant Detection System (RDS) for compliance.
- ETL listed for R22 and 410A. ETL listed for R454B and R32 when used with a Refrigerant Detection System (RDS).

Diagrammatic Representation of Dimensions:
The dimensions A, B, J, and K are indicated on the product images. Specifically:
- Dimension A represents the distance from the bottom of the cabinet to the top of the plenum board on the side view, approximately 1.75" to 3".
- Dimension B represents the depth from the front of the cabinet to the back of the plenum board on the side view, approximately 1.75" to 4.5".
- Dimension J represents the distance from the bottom of the cabinet to the top of the plenum board on the front view, approximately 0.75" to 3".
- Dimension K represents the width of the plenum board on the front view, approximately 1" to 1".
