Product Overview
This document provides installation instructions for the Lucci PIER LED 12V Deck Light with VERSION 2 connector.
SKU Numbers: 220450, 220451, 220453, 220454
Rated Voltage: 12V
This luminaire is rated 12V and classified as Extra Low Voltage (ELV). It is designed for DIY installation and does not require complex electrical connections or disconnections. It is crucial not to plug this luminaire directly into a 240V supply. For any work involving 240V, a licensed electrician is required. Assistance from a technical person with appropriate tools may be necessary for a complete installation.
The Lucci wiring kit (SKU# 220826, 220827) and Lucci transformer (SKU# 220818, 220819, 220829) are sold separately.
Please read and follow all instructions carefully before assembly, installation, and use for correct function and safety. Keep these instructions for future reference.
Warranty
- This luminaire is covered by a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase (not installation).
- Retain proof of purchase for any warranty inquiries.
- This luminaire is not suitable for use with dimmer switches.
- Warranty will be void if used on a circuit with a dimmer switch.
- Warranty will be void if damage occurs due to improper usage or modification.
- Failure to comply with these instructions may increase the risk of damage or injury and will void the warranty.
Installation Requirements
- All wiring and installation must adhere to the latest local and national wiring rules (e.g., AS/NZS 3000 Electrical installations). Consult a licensed electrician if unsure.
- Replace any cracked protective lamp shade to maintain the luminaire's IP rating.
- Location Selection:
- Suitable for deck installation only; not for ceiling or wall installations.
- The luminaire is protected against water penetration to IP65 standards (jets of water from any direction), which must be maintained during installation.
- The wiring kit and connectors are not suitable for underground installation without protection from water or damp conditions. Position them where water can drain easily; they are not designed for immersion.
- Consider a gravel substrate at the installation location to aid water drainage and prevent wiring from being submerged after rain or watering.
- The mounting point must support at least twice the weight of the luminaire.
- Handle electrical wires with care during unpacking to avoid damaging connections.
- Lay out all components on a smooth surface and verify all parts are present before assembly. Return incomplete products to the place of purchase.
- Inspect the luminaire for damage during transport. Do not install or operate a damaged product; return it for inspection, repair, or replacement.
- Ensure power to the circuit is switched OFF before commencing any electrical work.
