Important Notes
This installation guide applies to the 12V side of the luminaire. The Lucci PIER LED 12V Deck Light is rated 12V and classified as Extra Low Voltage (ELV). It is designed for DIY installation and does not require direct electrical connection or disconnection from mains voltage. Never plug this luminaire directly into a 240V supply. For any work involving 240V, a licensed electrician is required. Assistance from a qualified technician with appropriate tools may be necessary for installation.
The Lucci wiring kit (SKU# 220826, 220827) and Lucci transformer (SKU# 220818, 220819, 220829) are sold separately and are required for operation.
Please read and follow all instructions carefully before assembly, installation, and use of this luminaire to ensure correct function and safety. Keep these instructions for future reference.
Warranty Information
- This luminaire is covered by a 5-year warranty from the date of purchase, not the date of installation.
- Please retain proof of purchase for any warranty enquiries.
- This luminaire is not suitable for use with dimmer switches.
- Warranty will be void if the luminaire is used on a circuit with a dimmer switch.
- Warranty will be void if there is any damage due to improper usage or modification to the luminaire.
- Failure to comply with the instructions in this manual may increase the risk of damage or injury and will void the warranty.
Installation Requirements
- All wiring and installation must adhere to the latest local and national wiring rules (e.g., AS/NZS 3000 Electrical installations). If unsure, consult a licensed electrician.
- Replace any cracked protective lamp shade to maintain the luminaire's IP rating.
- Location Selection:
- This luminaire is suitable for deck installation only. It is not suitable for ceiling or wall installations.
- The luminaire is protected against water penetration to IP65 standards, meaning it can withstand jets of water from any direction. This protection must be maintained during installation.
- The wiring kit and connectors are not suitable for underground installation without protection from water or damp conditions. Position them in a location where water can easily drain away; they are not designed to be immersed in water.
- The installation location may require a gravel substrate to aid water drainage, preventing the wiring kit and connectors from being submerged after heavy rain or garden watering.
- The mounting point must be able to support at least 2 times the weight of the luminaire.
- Handle electrical wires with care during unpacking to avoid damaging connections.
- Lay out all components on a smooth surface and verify that all parts are present before assembly. If parts are missing, return the complete product to the place of purchase for inspection or replacement.
- Inspect the luminaire for any damage incurred during transport. Do not operate or install a product that appears damaged. Return it to the place of purchase for inspection, repair, or replacement.
- Before commencing any electrical work, ensure that power to the circuit you are working on has been switched OFF.
