Note: The appliance can only be switched on when the top cover and the lid pressure clip are correctly assembled. Do not leave the appliance running continuously for more than 3 minutes. For more efficient operation of the appliance, it is recommended to pause for 7 minutes after 3 minutes of continuous operation to allow the motor to cool down.
Tips for preparing the juice
- Use only the freshest fruit and vegetables.
- Fruits and vegetables contain valuable vitamins and minerals that deteriorate on contact with oxygen and light.
- Drink the juice as soon as it is squeezed.
- If it is necessary to store the juice for several hours, place it in the refrigerator in porcelain or glass containers.
- Adding lemon juice will improve its preserving ability.
- You can use the pulp to make other dishes (jams, compotes, etc.).
- If the fruit is very watery (melons, etc.), put it in slowly to squeeze out as much juice as possible.
- If you are juicing very ripe fruit, there may be little juice. In this case, it is essential that you process the fruit very slowly to allow the juice to drain more easily and avoid clogging the rotary strainer.
- It is common for apples and bananas not to extract clear juice.
- To maximise the efficiency of the appliance, it is advisable to clean the rotary strainer after every half kilo of food processed.
Juicing
- Place the appliance on a stable surface.
- Place the pulp container on the side of the appliance body (Fig. 1).
- Place the juice drain cover on top of the appliance body.
- Insert the rotary strainer into the juicing cover by pushing down on the top edge of the strainer.
- Replace the top lid and secure it with the lid pressure clip (Fig. 2).
- Place the juice container under the juice drain.
- Plug the assembled appliance into an electrical outlet.
- Use the speed switch to select the desired speed according to the type of food to be juiced. A higher speed is suitable for foods with a low juice content (apples, carrots, etc.). The lower speed is suitable for foods with a higher juice content (pears, citrus fruits, peaches, etc.).
- Slowly insert the washed food pieces into the inlet. You can insert apples and pears whole or cut into larger pieces. You don't need to peel them or remove the cores. Peel the citrus fruits, peel the grapes first and insert the grapes individually. Remove the large pits (e.g. from plums and apricots) to avoid damaging the machine. Insert the carrots into the inlet with the pointed end. It is difficult to extract juice from banana, avocado, blackberries, figs, eggplant, strawberries, etc.
- Note: Always use a pusher to push food through the inlet opening. Never push food with fingers, fork, spoon, knife or other object (Fig. 3). Stop the appliance before removing the inflator so that you can add more fruit/vegetables to prevent splashing.
- Continuously check the amount of pulp in the pulp container or stuck on the top cover. If this pulp needs to be removed, turn off the appliance, wait until the rotary strainer stops and unplug the appliance from the power outlet. Move upwards to close the juice drain. Then release the top cover with the lid clamp, clean it, empty the pulp container and clean the rotary strainer. To continue juicing, reinstall all parts of the appliance and connect the appliance to the mains.
- After use, turn off the appliance and unplug it from the power outlet.
- Note: The finished juice is intended for immediate consumption, as it oxidizes very quickly in the air, which can impair its taste, change its colour and, above all, reduce its nutritional value. Apple or pear juice browns quickly, adding a few drops of lemon will slow this process down.
Juice container with foam separator: During juicing, the natural formation of foam is unavoidable and therefore the juice container is designed in such a way that the foam remains in the container when pouring the juice.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Before cleaning the appliance, unplug the power cord from the power outlet and let the appliance cool down! Use only a damp cloth to clean the surface of the appliance, no detergents or hard objects as they may damage the surface of the appliance! Wash removable parts in warm water and mild detergent. Then rinse and dry thoroughly. All removable parts can also be washed in the dishwasher. Allow all parts to dry completely before reassembling the appliance after cleaning.
Never clean the appliance body under running water, do not rinse it or immerse it in water!
- Release the pressure clip on the lid.
- Open the top cover.
- With the upward direction, release the juice drain cover together with the rotary strainer (Fig. 4).
- Remove and clean the pulp container.
- After cleaning the removable parts, reassemble the appliance by reversing the procedure.
Solving the Problems
