Maintenance
Checking the Dust Container Fill Level
If the vacuum cleaner's suction power decreases, even when the floor nozzle is lifted from the floor, the dust container should be emptied immediately.
Note: If the suction power remains low even after emptying the dust container, there may be several reasons:
- Some air passages are blocked (hose, telescopic tube, suction opening, floor nozzle, or other attachment).
- The air inlet filter in the dust container is dirty or worn. It should be cleaned or replaced with a new one.
- The air outlet filter is dirty or worn. It should be cleaned or replaced with a new one.
Check each of the listed possibilities, and before the next use of the appliance, resolve the problem. If you cannot identify the cause of the problem, take the appliance to the nearest service center. Never use the appliance when suction power is low, as this could lead to irreversible damage to the motor.
It is recommended to empty the dust container and clean the vacuum cleaner filters preventatively after each use.
Emptying the Dust Container
- Disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the mains, remove the hose from the suction opening.
- Press the latch on the vacuum cleaner body (Fig. 3) and pull the dust container upwards.
- Remove the lid from the dust container and empty the dust into a waste bin.
- After closing the container, place it back into the vacuum cleaner. Ensure the container is properly fitted. You should hear the handle latches click.
Replacing Filters
Filters should be cleaned or replaced if they are visibly dirty, or if the vacuum cleaner's suction power decreases. They should be checked after each use of the vacuum cleaner.
To prevent damage to the vacuum cleaner, do not use it without properly fitted filters.
Before replacing filters, disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the electrical outlet.
You can purchase suitable filter types from your dealer or order them from the manufacturer.
Checking and Replacing the Air Outlet Filter
- Press and open the air outlet grille at the rear of the vacuum cleaner (Fig. 4).
- Remove the filter.
- The filter can be cleaned by shaking. If it is heavily soiled, it can be washed in lukewarm water and left to dry completely.
- Insert the cleaned or new air outlet filter and close the air outlet grille.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Accessories and the vacuum cleaner can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
Do not immerse the power cord, plug, or appliance in water or any other liquid. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents such as solvents or abrasive materials!
