Airforce F207 Easy Fit Range Hood
Installation and User Manual
Safety Warnings
The Airforce F207 Easy Fit range hood is designed for use by individuals aged 8 and above, or those with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, provided they are supervised or have received instruction on safe operation and understand the associated risks. Children must not play with the appliance. User cleaning and maintenance should not be performed by unsupervised children. Never operate the hood without the correctly installed filter!
Accessible parts may become hot during use of the hob. Ensure proper ventilation when using the hood with gas or other fuel-burning appliances. Flambéing under the hood is strictly prohibited as open flames can damage filters and cause fires. Supervise frying processes closely to prevent oil from igniting. Adhere strictly to local regulations regarding exhaust and safety measures.
This appliance is marked according to the European Directive 2002/96/ES (WEEE). Proper disposal contributes to preventing potential negative environmental and health impacts. Do not dispose of this product with household waste; take it to an appropriate collection point for electrical and electronic equipment recycling. Contact local authorities, waste disposal centers, or the retailer for information on reuse and recycling. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its technical service, or a similarly qualified person to avoid hazards.
Always wear work gloves [gloves symbol] during installation and maintenance.
Refer to the diagrams on the preceding pages for detailed installation steps. Follow the instructions in this manual carefully. The manufacturer is not responsible for any issues, damage, or fires caused by failure to follow these instructions.
Do not mount the hood on ceilings that cannot support its weight, such as plasterboard. Do not install it inside a cabinet unless specifically designed for it.
Maintain a minimum distance of 65 cm between the hood and the cooking surface for electric, gas, or mixed hobs. If the hob installation manual specifies a greater distance, that distance must be observed.
Ensure a power socket is accessible near the hood, protected by a 30 mA residual current device (RCD). The mains voltage must match the appliance's specifications. The hood comes with a power cable, either with or without a plug. If a plug is present, connect it to an accessible socket compliant with current legislation. If connecting directly to the mains, ensure multi-pole disconnection is provided, with contact opening distance sufficient for complete disconnection under overvoltage category III conditions.
When the hob is in operation, the hood must always be switched on at least at the first speed setting.
Performance measurements are conducted according to Regulation (EU) No. 65/2014, referencing IEC 61591. Maximum performance is achieved with any movable panels in the open position.
To ensure proper air intake, the cooking surface should be matched to the hood size. For example:
- A 60 cm hood for a 60 cm wide hob (up to 4 cooking zones).
- A 90 cm hood for a 78 cm wide hob (up to 5 cooking zones).
- A 90 cm hood for a 90/120 cm wide hob (up to 6 cooking zones).
Installation
The following describes the installation process based on the provided diagrams:
Mounting Bracket Installation
Diagrams illustrate the initial steps of attaching mounting brackets to the installation surface (e.g., ceiling or cabinet). This involves using screws, with a specific measurement of 5 mm indicated. The term 'Trapano' suggests the use of a drill for preparation.
Hood Installation
The main body of the hood is then shown being positioned and secured. The diagrams indicate that the hood is fastened in place using multiple screws, typically four ('x4'), to the prepared mounting structure.
Filter Installation
The diagrams show the insertion of filters into the hood. The hood is identified as a 'Twin' model, implying it uses a dual-filter system for grease and odor filtration. The following filter types are listed:
Grease Filter | Odor Filter |
---|---|
Ogleni filter | Maščobni filter |
Charcoal Filter | Anti-grease Filter |
Filtre a charbon | Filtre antigraisse |
Koolstoffilter | Vetfilter |
Filtro al carbon | Filtro antigrasa |
Filtro al carbone | Filtro antigrasso |
Operation
Remote Control
The remote control is universal and may have functions not available on all models. Key buttons include:
- T1: Increases speed.
- T2: Turns the motor on/off.
- T3: Decreases speed.
- T4: Turns the lights on/off.
LED indicators show the selected speed: Green for Speed 1, Orange for Speed 2, Red for Speed 3, and flashing Red for Speed 4 (intensive operation for 8 minutes, then reverts to Speed 3).
Initial Pairing: For first-time use or after replacing electronic components, pair the remote with the hood: 1. Disconnect power for at least 10 seconds. 2. Reconnect power. 3. Within 5 seconds, press and release the light button (T4) until the lights turn on. 4. Within the next 5 seconds, press and release the motor button (T2) until the lights turn off. Wait approximately 10 seconds for normal operation.
Interference: If experiencing interference from other remote controls, change the remote's transmission code. The remote ships with default codes. To generate new random codes, simultaneously press and hold buttons T1 and T3 for at least 10 seconds. After changing the code, re-pair the remote control.
Maintenance
Before any maintenance, disconnect the hood's electrical power supply.
Cleaning
Regularly clean the interior (except the filter area) and exterior of the hood. Use a cloth dampened with denatured alcohol or neutral cleaning agents. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
Caution: Failure to follow cleaning and filter replacement guidelines can pose a fire risk. Always adhere to the recommended procedures.
Filter Maintenance (Twin Filters AFK2G60-90F)
The Twin filters combine grease and odor filtration and are renewable, requiring maintenance every 30 hours of use.
- Wash the double filter without detergent.
- Clean the double filter in a sink with hot water or in a dishwasher on a quick cycle (without other dishes to avoid grease/oil contamination) at temperatures not exceeding 60/65 °C.
- Air dry the double filter by covering it with a clean, lint-free cloth, or dry it in an oven with top and bottom heating at 80 °C for a maximum of 1 hour.
Replace TWIN filters when:
- Odor filtration becomes insufficient (average lifespan is after 240 hours of operation).
- No later than 1 year of use.
- The filters are visibly damaged.
POZOR: Never dry filters with forced airflow. Ensure TWIN filters are completely dry before installation.
LED Lights
If the lighting unit fails, contact technical support for replacement.
Environmental Considerations
To minimize the environmental impact and energy consumption of the range hood, it is recommended to:
- Always use the lowest ventilation speed suitable for the cooking intensity.
- Do not leave the appliance switched on for more than 15 minutes after cooking is finished.
- Always turn off the hood's lighting if you step away from the cooking surface during cooking.
