Safety Warnings
⚠️ IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION ⚠️
- The appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Never use the hood without the filter correctly fitted!
- Accessible parts may become hot during use of the hob.
- Do not use ducting that is used for exhaust of fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels. If the range hood is used in conjunction with other appliances fed with gas or other fuels, the room must be adequately ventilated. Flambéing under the hood is strictly forbidden. Open flames can damage filters and cause fires. Frying operations must be supervised to prevent overheating of the oil. Strictly observe the regulations of competent local authorities regarding exhaust systems.
- This appliance is marked according to the European Directive 2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). Proper disposal of this product helps prevent potential negative impacts on the environment and health. The symbol on the product or its packaging indicates that this product may not be treated as household waste. Instead, it must be taken to an appropriate collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. For more information regarding recycling of this product, please contact your local council, your household waste disposal service, or the shop where you purchased the product.
- If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.
- Refer to the diagrams on the first pages for installation guidance. Follow the instructions in this manual carefully. No responsibility is accepted for any problems, damage, or fires caused by not following the instructions provided.
- The hood must be mounted to a wall with sufficient load-bearing capacity.
- The hood must be installed at a minimum distance of 50 cm from an electric, gas, or combined hob. If the installation instructions for the gas hob specify a greater distance, this must be observed.
- Do not attach the appliance to the wall with tiles, grout, or silicone. Surface mounting is permitted only. Do not attach the chimney to furniture or shelves unless it can be easily removed for maintenance.
- The hood is equipped with an upper air outlet (B) for exhausting fumes to the outside for ducted models (suction version A - ducting not supplied). If fumes and vapours cannot be exhausted outdoors, the hood can be used in recirculation mode (F): installing an active carbon filter (F) allows fumes and vapours to be recirculated through the upper grille (G).
- A power socket must be located near the hood, and the wiring must be equipped with a protective device with a rated current of 30 mA. The mains voltage must match the voltage indicated on the rating plate inside the hood. The hood has a power supply cord 1250 mm long, with or without a plug. If it has a plug, connect the hood to an accessible and suitable socket. If it does not have a plug, a suitable bipolar switch with a contact gap of at least 3 mm (which must be accessible) must be installed for direct connection to the electrical mains. This installation and electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified technician.
- Performance measurements are carried out in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 65/2014 – Ref: IEC 61591. Maximum performance is achieved by placing any movable plates, if present, in the open position.
Installation
Follow the illustrated installation guide. The instructions are valid for 60 cm and 90 cm widths, unless otherwise specified.
Diagram 1 (Page 4): Shows the main hood unit and its mounting structure. A detailed view indicates a cutout for installation with a radius of 80 mm and a depth of 136 mm.
Diagram 2 (Page 5): Illustrates attaching mounting brackets to the hood body using screws. Four screws (x4) are used for each bracket.
Diagram 3 (Page 6): Shows the attachment of the front decorative panel to the hood unit, secured with two screws (x2) on each side.
Diagram 4 (Page 7): Depicts the hood being secured to the mounting structure. Step 1 shows positioning the hood, and Step 2 shows fastening it with screws.
Diagram 5 (Page 8): Continues the installation process, showing the hood being fixed in place with multiple screws (x2, x2, x2, x2) and a component being attached.
Diagram 6 (Page 9): Illustrates the electrical connection point and wiring routing. A separate diagram shows a panel being attached to cover internal components.
Diagram 7 (Page 10): Shows installation steps for both 60 cm and 90 cm width models, indicating the attachment of a front panel or cover.
Diagram 8 (Page 11): Further installation steps for the 90 cm model, showing the securing of panels with screws (x2, x2).
Diagram 9 (Page 12): Depicts connecting the exhaust duct (Ø 120 mm) to the hood's outlet. It also shows the installation of a filter (labeled G).
Diagram 10 (Page 13): Details the types of filters: Anti-grease Filter (Fettfilter) and TWIN (Charcoal Filter). It also shows the mechanism for draining the condensate tray, with steps 1 (place container) and 2 (press tab to open drain).
Operation
Lighting Control
The hood features lighting control. The specific function is indicated by 'A. LIGHT ON/OFF'.
Fan Speeds
There are four fan speeds:
- 1: Minimum suction power
- 2: Medium suction power
- 3: Maximum suction power
- 4: High speed
A long press on a button will cause the LED lights to flash, activating a timer. The timer will stop the motor after 5 minutes.
High speed (4): activating this button engages the 'High Speed' suction level. It will turn off after approximately 7 minutes, returning the speed to level 3.
Maintenance
? IMPORTANT: Before performing any maintenance on the hood, disconnect its electrical power supply.
Cleaning
The hood, both interior (excluding areas around grease filters) and exterior, requires regular cleaning. Use a cloth dampened with denatured alcohol or neutral liquid cleaners. Avoid using abrasive cleaners.
Grease Filter
The grease filter must be cleaned monthly with non-abrasive detergents, manually or in a dishwasher on a low temperature and short cycle. After washing in a dishwasher, the grease filter may slightly discolor, but this does not affect its filtering capability.
TWIN (Recirculation) Filter
TWIN filters are combination filters for grease and odours. These filters are renewable and require regular maintenance (every 30 hours of hood use).
- TWIN filters must be washed without detergents.
- They can be washed in a sink with hot water or placed in a dishwasher on a short wash cycle, without other dishes (to prevent contamination from grease or oil), at recommended temperatures not exceeding 60/65 °C.
- TWIN filters can be air-dried by covering them with a clean cloth, or dried in an oven with top and bottom heating elements at 80 °C for a maximum of 1 hour.
TWIN filters need to be replaced:
- when you notice that odour filtration is no longer sufficient (on average after 240 hours of operation),
- at the latest, after one year of use,
- when the filters are visibly damaged.
⚠️ CAUTION: Never dry filters using air currents. It is important that TWIN filters are completely dry before reinstallation.
Condensate Tray Maintenance
The tray must be emptied and cleaned AT LEAST once a week, or more frequently depending on the frequency of hood use.
- Place a container under the drain opening.
- Press the tab downwards to open the drain and empty the condensate.
Bulb Replacement
⚠️ CAUTION: Before touching the bulbs, ensure they have cooled down.
LED Lighting
If the lighting unit fails, contact technical support for replacement of the entire unit.
Environmental Impact
To reduce energy consumption, it is recommended to always use the lowest suction speed that is still appropriate for the current cooking mode. Avoid running the appliance for more than 15 minutes after turning off the hobs, and turn off the lights if you leave the cooking area.
