Handling the Remote Controller
Inserting and Replacing Batteries
To insert batteries, slide the back cover down, insert two AAA batteries (R03/LR03), matching the (+) and (-) ends with the symbols in the compartment, then slide the cover back.
Remote Control
- Direct sunlight can interfere with the infrared signal receiver.
- Maintain a clear line of sight between the remote and the appliance.
- If the remote controls another appliance, move the appliance or contact customer service.
Battery Disposal
Dispose of batteries according to local laws. Batteries may contain heavy metals (e.g., Pb for Lead). Specialized facilities are required for recycling and recovery to prevent environmental and health issues.
Battery Performance
- Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different brands.
- Remove batteries if the device will not be used for over 2 months.
Notes for Using Remote Control
This device complies with local regulations. In Canada, it complies with CAN ICES-3(B)/NMB-3(B). In the USA, it complies with FCC Part 15, subject to conditions that it does not cause harmful interference and accepts any received interference.
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with Class B digital device limits per FCC Rules. These limits provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations. The equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used per instructions, it may cause radio communications interference. If interference occurs, try reorienting the antenna, increasing separation, connecting to a different circuit, or consulting a dealer/technician. Unauthorized modifications may void the user's authority to operate the equipment.

Remote Screen Indicators
The remote display shows various indicators when powered on:
- Top Row: SET, TEMP, INVALID, ECO, Breeze away, Not available for this unit, Sleep mode, Not available for this unit, Follow me, Active Clean, Wireless control, Low battery (if flashes).
- Middle Row: Transmission indicator, ECO feature, Silent feature, Turbo feature, Not available for this unit, INVALID (Displayed when operation is invalid), Timer ON, Timer OFF, Vertical louver swing, Not available for this unit.
- Bottom Row: Mode display (AUTO, COOL, DRY, HEAT, FAN).
Temperature/Timer/Fan speed display
Displays set temperature, fan speed, or timer settings.
FAN SPEED
Shows fan speed levels: AUTO, 1-10%, 11-20%, 21-30%, 31-40%, 41-50%, 51-60%, 61-70%, 71-80%, 81-90%, 91-100%. Fan speed cannot be adjusted in AUTO or DRY mode.
MODE display
Indicates the current operating mode: AUTO, COOL, DRY, HEAT, FAN.
Note: Only relevant indicators are shown on the display during operation.
How to Use Basic Functions
NOTE: Ensure the unit is plugged in and has power before operation.
AUTO mode
Select AUTO mode, set desired temperature, then turn on the air conditioner. In AUTO mode, the unit automatically selects COOL, FAN, or HEAT based on temperature. Fan speed cannot be set in AUTO mode.
COOL or HEAT mode
Select COOL/HEAT mode, set the temperature, set the fan speed, then turn on the air conditioner.
DRY mode
Select DRY mode, set desired temperature, then turn on the air conditioner. Fan speed is automatically controlled and cannot be manually set in DRY mode.
FAN mode
Select FAN mode, set the fan speed, then turn on the air conditioner. Temperature cannot be set in FAN mode, and it is not displayed on the remote screen.
Setting the TIMER
TIMER ON/OFF
Set the time for the unit to automatically turn on or off.
TIMER ON setting
Press TIMER button. Use TEMP +/- or FAN +/- buttons to set the desired ON time. Press OK to confirm.
TIMER OFF setting
Press TIMER button. Use TEMP +/- or FAN +/- buttons to set the desired OFF time. Press OK to confirm.
Note: Time increments are 30 minutes up to 10 hours, then 1-hour increments up to 24:00. Timer resets to 0:00 after 24:00. To cancel, set timer to 0:00h.
TIMER ON & OFF setting (example)
Set time periods refer to hours after the current time. For example, if the current time is 1:00 PM, setting the timer for 2.5 hours ON and 5 hours OFF means the unit will turn on at 3:30 PM and turn off at 6:00 PM.
How to Use Advanced Functions
Swing function
Press the SWING button repeatedly. Within 3 seconds between presses, the vertical louver cycles through: Auto swing stop, Auto swing start, Louver angle 1-5. More than 3 seconds between presses cycles through: Fixed angle, Auto swing start, Auto swing stop. Adjust until the desired position is found.
SLEEP function
NOTE: SLEEP function is not available in FAN and DRY modes. It creates a comfortable sleeping environment.
In COOL mode: Temperature increases by 1°C (2°F) after 1 hour, and again after another hour. In HEAT mode: Temperature decreases by 1°C (2°F) after 1 hour, and again after another hour. After 2 hours, the temperature remains constant. The function ends automatically after 8 hours.
Fan speed is adjustable in Cool/Heat mode. In Auto mode, fan speed is fixed.
Silent function
Press and hold the FAN button for over 2 seconds to activate/disable Silent mode. This may result in reduced cooling/heating capacity due to low-frequency compressor operation.
FP function
In HEAT mode, with a temperature setting of 16°C/60°F, press the button twice within one second to activate FP function. The unit will operate at high fan speed with the compressor on, and the temperature automatically set to 8°C/46°F. Pressing ON/OFF, Mode, Fan, or Temp buttons cancels this function.
LED display
Press the LED button to turn the indoor unit's display on/off. Press and hold for over 5 seconds (some units) to display the actual room temperature. Pressing again for over 5 seconds reverts to the set temperature display.
Eco/Gear function
Press the button to cycle through energy-saving modes: ECO → GEAR (75%) → GEAR (50%) → ECO. This function is available only in COOL mode.
ECO operation
In COOL mode, pressing ECO automatically sets the temperature to 24°C/75°F with AUTO fan speed for energy saving. If the set temperature is above 24°C/75°F, fan speed changes to AUTO, and the temperature remains unchanged. ECO operation stops if the temperature is set below 24°C/75°F or if the fan speed is manually adjusted. For insufficient cooling, press ECO again to stop.
GEAR operation
Select GEAR operation: 75% (up to 75% energy consumption) → 50% (up to 50% energy consumption) → Previous setting. The set temperature reappears after 3 seconds.
Turbo function
In COOL mode, Turbo provides cool air with the strongest fan setting for rapid cooling. In HEAT mode, it provides hot air with the strongest fan setting for rapid heating.
SET function
Press SET to enter the function menu, then press SET again to select a function. The selected symbol flashes; press OK to confirm. Repeat the process to cancel. Functions cycle: Fresh/UV lamp → Breeze away → Follow Me → Active Clean → AP mode.
Fresh/UV lamp function
Activates the lonizer or UVC lamp (model dependent) to purify the air.
Breeze Away function
Prevents direct airflow onto the body for a comfortable coolness. Available in Cool, Fan, and Dry modes.
Follow Me function
The remote measures the ambient temperature at its location and sends it to the air conditioner every 3 minutes. This optimizes temperature for comfort. Press and hold Turbo for 7 seconds to activate/deactivate the memory feature. "ON" or "OFF" displays for 3 seconds. The Follow Me function remains active through mode changes, power on/off, or power failure.
Active Clean function
Removes dust and mold that cause odors. It rapidly freezes and thaws the heat exchanger for cleaning. The indoor unit displays "CL" when active. The process takes 20-130 minutes (model dependent), after which the unit turns off automatically.
AP function
Enables wireless network configuration. For some units, press SET. To enter AP mode, press the LED button 7 times within 10 seconds.
