How to Use Advanced Functions
Swing function
Vertical louver movement:
- Press SWING button repeatedly (within 3 seconds) for: Stop swing > Start swing > Louver angle 1-5.
- Press SWING button repeatedly (more than 3 seconds) for: Fixed angle > Start swing > Stop swing.
SLEEP function
Note: SLEEP function is not available in FAN and DRY modes.
The SLEEP function creates a more comfortable sleeping environment. Fan speed is adjustable in COOL/HEAT modes. In AUTO mode, fan speed is fixed.
- COOL mode: Temperature increases by 1°C (2°F) after 1 hour, and another 1°C (2°F) after the second hour.
- HEAT mode: Temperature decreases by 1°C (2°F) after 1 hour, and another 1°C (2°F) after the second hour.
- After two hours, the temperature remains constant. The sleep function ends automatically after eight hours.
Silent function
Press and hold the FAN button for more than 2 seconds to activate/disable Silent function. This may result in reduced cooling/heating capacity due to low-frequency compressor operation.
FP function
In HEAT mode, set temperature to 16°C/60°F. Press the button twice within one second to activate FP function. The unit will operate at high fan speed with temperature automatically set to 8°C/46°F. Pressing ON/OFF, Mode, Fan, or Temp buttons cancels this function.
LED display
- Press the LED button to turn the indoor unit's display and buzzer on/off.
- Press and hold the LED button for more than 5 seconds (some units) to display the actual room temperature. Pressing again for more than 5 seconds reverts to the set temperature display.
Eco/Gear function
Press the button to cycle through energy-saving modes: ECO → GEAR (75%) → GEAR (50%) → ECO...
Note: This function is available only in COOL mode.
ECO operation
In COOL mode, the temperature is automatically set to 24°C/75°F with AUTO fan speed for energy saving. If the set temperature is above 24°C/75°F, fan speed changes to AUTO, and the set temperature remains unchanged.
NOTE: ECO operation stops if you press the ECO/GEAR button again, change the mode, or set the temperature below 24°C/75°F. For insufficient cooling, ensure the set temperature is 24°C/75°F or above.
GEAR operation
Select GEAR operation: 75% (up to 75% energy consumption) → 50% (up to 50% energy consumption) → Previous setting.
The set temperature will revert to normal after 3 seconds.
Turbo function
In COOL mode, Turbo provides the strongest fan speed for rapid cooling.
In HEAT mode, Turbo provides the strongest fan speed for rapid heating.
SET function
Press SET to enter the function menu, then press SET again to select a function. The selected symbol will flash; press OK to confirm.
To cancel, repeat the same steps.
Functions cycle as: Fresh/UV lamp → Breeze Away → Follow Me → Active Clean → AP mode.
Fresh/UV lamp function
Activates the FRESH function, which includes an ionizer and/or UVC lamp for air purification.
Breeze Away function
This feature directs airflow away from the user for a gentle cooling sensation. Available in Cool, Fan, and Dry modes.
Follow Me function
The remote measures the ambient temperature and sends it to the air conditioner every 3 minutes. This helps optimize room temperature for comfort, especially in AUTO, COOL, or HEAT modes. Press and hold Turbo for 7 seconds to activate/deactivate the memory feature. "On" or "Off" will display for 3 seconds. The Follow Me function remains active through mode changes, power on/off, or power failure.
Active Clean function
This technology removes dust and mold that cause odors. It rapidly freezes and thaws the heat exchanger to clean adhered material. The display shows "CL" when active. The function runs for 20-130 minutes (model dependent) and then automatically turns off.
AP function
Use AP mode for wireless network configuration. For some units, pressing SET may not work. To enter AP mode, press the LED button 7 times within 10 seconds.
