Paramétrage (Setup)
1. Connect the Antennas ?
1. Place the antenna facing the antenna terminal on the upper left and upper right of the rear panel.
2. Turn the antenna clockwise until it is fully connected. Do not overtighten.
3. Rotate the antenna upwards for the best possible reception.
Optional: If connecting to a wired network, connect an Ethernet cable (not supplied) between the player and your router. Do not connect the Ethernet cable if connecting to a wireless network.
Note ?: Antennas are necessary for Bluetooth ? and Wi-Fi ? functions.

2. Connect the Player to Your Amplifier

3. Connect TV Audio (Optional)
1. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the TV's port labeled "ARC" or "eARC". The DNP-2000NE does not support eARC, but you can still connect to an eARC port for ARC functionality.
2. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC port on the rear of the DNP-2000NE.
Note ?:
- The TV connection is used to transmit audio to the DNP-2000NE from your TV's built-in sources (tuner, smart TV apps, etc.) and HDMI devices connected to your TV. The DNP-2000NE does not output video.
- Ensure the audio output setting in your TV's menu is set to output only 2-channel PCM audio. Dolby Digital and DTS audio are not supported.

4. Power Connection ?
Plug the power cord between the DNP-2000NE and a wall outlet.

5. Install Batteries in the Remote Control

6. Network Connection ?
Choose one of the following wireless setup options or set up a wired connection as indicated.
Wireless Setup
Option A: iOS Device (iOS 7 or later)
- Power on the device.
- Select the language. (This may take a few minutes for network settings to take effect.)
- Ensure your iOS device is connected to your Wi-Fi network. Select the network named "Denon DNP-2000NE" from your device's Settings/Wi-Fi screen.
Option B: Router without WPS Button
- Power on the device.
- Select the language.
- Select "Search for network" and wait for your DNP-2000NE to search for available networks.
Option C: WPS Router
- Power on the device.
- Select the language.
- Select "WPS Router".
Wired Connection
- Power on the device.
- Select the language.
- Wait for your DNP-2000NE to connect to your wired network. The device will indicate "Connected!".
- Follow the on-screen instructions and tap "Next".
- Wait a few minutes for the connection to establish. (The front panel of the DNP-2000NE indicates the connection status.)
Connecting via Wi-Fi (Alternative Steps)
- Select your network name. (If your network does not appear, select "Search again".)
- Enter your network password using the remote control's numeric keys.
- Press the WPS button on your router. Press the ENTER button on the remote within 2 minutes.
- Wait a few minutes for the connection to establish. (The front panel of the DNP-2000NE indicates the connection status.)
Tip: If your wireless network signal strength is weak, you can improve reception by reorienting the antennas on the back of the player or moving the player closer to your router.

Automatic Update Setting
1. Enable automatic updates so that future updates are automatically downloaded and installed when your DNP-2000NE is in standby mode. Select "On" to enable automatic updates.
Select "Off" to disable automatic updates.
Usage Data Setting
To help improve products and services, Denon collects anonymous usage information. Denon will not share this information with third parties.
Select "Yes" to provide information on the operating status of this device.
Select "No" to not provide information on the operating status of this device.
2. Set Time Zone
Set the time zone corresponding to your location.

7. Enjoy Your Music
Enjoy Internet Radio
- Press INTERNET RADIO.
- Select the station you want to listen to, then press ENTER.
- Select "Play Now", then press ENTER.
Enjoy Music with Apple AirPlay AirPlay
- Open Control Center, then tap the AirPlay icon on the audio card.
- Select "Denon DNP-2000NE" from the list of AirPlay devices.
- Choose music to play from your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad.
You can also play AirPlay audio from an app on your iOS device. Simply open the app, tap the AirPlay icon, then tap one or more speakers.

Enjoy Music with Bluetooth ?
- Press Bluetooth to select Bluetooth. On first use, the DNP-2000NE automatically enters pairing mode, and the message "Bluetooth pairing mode" appears on the DNP-2000NE screen.
- Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device.
- Select "Denon DNP-2000NE" from the list of Bluetooth devices on your device.
- Listen to music using any application on your mobile device.
To pair with other Bluetooth devices, press and hold the Bluetooth button on the remote control until the "Bluetooth pairing mode" message appears on the DNP-2000NE.

8. Enjoy Your Music with the HEOS App
The HEOS app allows you to control your DNP-2000NE effortlessly to explore, browse, and play music from numerous online streaming services or your own music library.
1. Download and open the HEOS app. Scan the QR code and download the HEOS app to your mobile device. Then open the HEOS app.
2. Create a HEOS account or log in using your HEOS account.
- Tap "Music" in the navigation tab.
- Select the Settings icon ⚙️ in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Select "HEOS Account".
3. Tap "Devices" in the navigation tab.
4. Select "Denon DNP-2000NE" from the "Devices" list.
Note ?: To control the DNP-2000NE using the HEOS app, your device must be connected to the same network. Refer to the instructions in step 6 "Network Connection" to connect your device to a network.
5. Synchronize services on the "Music" screen. Connect to your preferred online streaming services or select from your own music library to sync music with your HEOS account.
6. Play your music and enjoy.

9. Listen to Computer Audio via USB-DAC ?
1. Windows Driver Software Installation
Note ?: Driver installation is not necessary in the following cases: When not playing music from a computer using the USB-DAC function. When using macOS. The driver may not install correctly if your computer is connected via USB cable. If the device and computer are connected via USB and the computer is powered on before installation, disconnect the USB cable and restart the computer.
Windows OS System Requirements: Windows 10 or Windows 11
- Download the dedicated driver from the "Download" section of the DNP-2000NE page on the Denon website (www.denon.com) to your computer.
- Unzip the downloaded file and double-click the .exe file.
- Install the driver. Select the installation language, then click "OK" ✔️. The setup wizard will appear. Follow the on-screen instructions. Once the wizard is complete, click "Yes" ✔️.

2. Connection to PC or Mac

3. Listen to Audio from a PC or Mac
- Power on the device.
- Press USB-DAC to switch the input source to "USB-DAC".
- Set the audio signal destination for this device on the computer.
Windows OS
- Open the "Control Panel" on the PC. The list of Control Panel settings will appear.
- Click the "Sound" icon. The Sound menu window will appear.
- Check that "Default Device" is checked next to "DNP-2000NE" in the "Playback" tab. If another device is checked, click "DNP-2000NE" and then "Set as Default".
- Select "DNP-2000NE" and click "Properties". The DNP-2000NE properties window will appear.
- Click the "Advanced" tab.
- Select the sample rate and bit depth for the DAC. It is recommended to select "2 Channel, 32 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality)".
- Click "Apply".
- Click "Test". Verify that audio from this device is output by the computer.

macOS System Requirements: macOS 12 or 13
- Place the cursor on "Go" on the computer screen, then click "Utilities". The utility list will appear.
- Double-click "Audio MIDI Setup". The "Audio Devices" window will appear.
- Right-click on "DNP-2000NE", then verify that "Use this device for audio output" is checked. If another device is checked, right-click on "DNP-2000NE" and select "Use this device for audio output".
- Select the "DNP-2000NE" format. It is generally recommended to set the format to "2 Channel 32-bit Integer 384.0 kHz".
- Exit Audio MIDI Setup.

4. Use your preferred music applications on your PC/Mac to listen to music via the DNP-2000NE. For high-resolution audio playback, you may need to obtain software from an advanced audio player, such as JRiver Media Center or Audirvana.
Note ?: You may need to select additional settings for audio output to the DNP-2000NE within your advanced audio player application. Please refer to your application's user manual.
