⚠ WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. Ensure the electricity to the wires you are working on is shut off. Either remove the fuse or turn off the circuit breaker before removing an existing light fixture or installing the new one.
If you are unfamiliar with electrical installations, it is recommended to contact a qualified electrician to perform the installation.
Installation
Select a suitable location that can support the weight of the fixture. Determine the method for mounting the fixture before drilling, based on the type of ceiling. Two people are recommended for the installation of this light fixture.
- Drill a 1/8-in. pilot hole into each of the screw locations marked on the ceiling by the fixture. An awl or nail can also be used to dimple the screw holes.
- Install a drywall anchor (AA) and a mounting screw (BB) in each drilled mounting hole, but do not tighten fully. Notice: Drywall anchors (AA) are only for mounting the fixture to plaster or drywall surfaces.
- Open the insect-proof cover in the middle of the fixture body (A) and lead the J-box wires out.
- Align the mounting screw (BB) heads with the keyholes on the fixture body (A). Slide the base towards the narrow hole and fasten these screws securely.
- Connect the hot (black) and neutral (white) wires from the fixture body (A) to the corresponding color wires from the J-box. Connect the green wire from the fixture body (A) to the grounding wire from the J-box. Cover the wire connections using the wire connectors (CC). Wrapping the wire connectors (CC) with electrical tape is recommended for a more secure connection.
- Position the wires back inside the J-box and close the insect-proof cover of the fixture body (A).
- Choose your preferred correlated color temperature (CCT) from five options: 2700K warm white, 3000K Soft White, 3500K neutral white, 4000K Bright White, or 5000K Daylight. Notice: The factory setting is 2700K.
- Notice: After the LED light is installed, if you wish to change the color temperature again, use the lever (DD) to remove the diffuser shade (B) from the fixture body (A).
- Tuck the diffuser shade (B) into the frame of the fixture body (A) and place it flat. Turn on the power to illuminate the lamp.
Color Temperature Options: 2700K/3000K/3500K/4000K/5000K Switch for color choice.
Care and Cleaning
CAUTION: Before cleaning the tube and luminaire/light fixture, disconnect the power to the fixture by turning off the breaker or removing the fuse from the fuse box. Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use cleaners with chemicals, solvents, or harsh abrasives. Do not use liquid cleaner on the LEDs, LED driver, or wiring.
Troubleshooting
Minor problems can often be fixed without the help of an electrician.
