Alarm Settings
Selecting the Alarm Week Mode
Your SmartSet clock radio allows selection from three alarm week modes: Everyday (all 7 days), Weekdays only (Monday-Friday), or Weekends only (Saturday-Sunday). Indicators show the selected mode: all 7 'On' for Everyday, MON-FRI 'On' for Weekdays, SAT-SUN 'On' for Weekends.
Checking the Wake Up Times and Alarm Week Mode
Press the AL1 or AL2 button to view the wake up time and the currently selected alarm week mode. The display returns to the current time after 3 seconds.
Activating and Deactivating the Alarm
Press and release the AL1 or AL2 button to cycle through alarm modes: Wake to Radio (1/2 indicator glows), Wake to Buzzer (1/2 indicator glows), or Off (indicators are off). Press and release continuously until the desired mode is set.
Snooze Alarm
When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE button to pause for 9 minutes. The alarm indicator will flash. To turn off Snooze Alarm, press the ON/OFF button. Snooze is active for one hour if not turned off.
10 Listening to FM Radio
Extend the antenna for better reception. Press the ON/OFF button to turn the unit on. Press the MODE button until the MHz indicator is lit, showing the FM station frequency. Adjust volume with VOL+ or VOL-. Press ON/OFF to turn off.
Tuning Stations
Use the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons for step tuning (increase/decrease frequency by one step). Press and hold either button for 3 seconds to engage Auto Station Seeking, which stops at the next receivable station.
Storing and Recalling Radio Station Memory Manually
To save favorite stations:
- Turn the unit on and select Radio mode (MHz indicator on).
- Tune to the desired station.
- Press and hold the FM MEM./STO. button for 2 seconds until 'PXX' blinks.
- Use the TUNE + or TUNE - buttons to select a memory location (1-20).
- Press the FM MEM./STO. button again to store the station. The display shows the frequency, then returns to the current time.
To recall a stored station:
- Turn the unit on and select Radio mode.
- Press the FM MEM./STO. button; 'PXX' will display, tuning to the stored station.
- Repeatedly press FM MEM./STO. or TUNE +/- to cycle through memory locations (1-20). The station stored in the selected location will tune in.
11 Listening to Bluetooth Speaker
Press the ON/OFF button to turn the unit ON. Press the MODE button to select Bluetooth mode; the BT indicator will flash for pairing. Enable Bluetooth on your device and select "CKSW5010" from the list. A solid BT indicator confirms successful pairing.
Previously paired devices will connect automatically. Play music from your Bluetooth device. Press the II button to pause or resume playback.
Note: If pairing fails, disconnect other paired devices or turn off their Bluetooth. Refresh your device's Bluetooth connection. For iOS devices, the clock time synchronizes automatically via Bluetooth.
12 Sleeping to Music Timer
Turn the unit on and select FM Radio or Bluetooth mode. Press the SLEEP button to display the sleep timer. Press SLEEP repeatedly to choose a timer duration (10-90 minutes or OFF). The SLP indicator will be on while the timer is active. The last selected duration becomes the default. Press SLEEP to view the countdown. Press ON/OFF to cancel the timer.
13 Ultra Fast Wireless Charging
The unit features an Ultra Fast Wireless Charging Pad on top for Qi-compatible smartphones or receivers, effective up to 0.2 inches (5 mm) distance. Place your Qi-compatible smartphone in the center of the pad, screen facing upward, for optimal charging.
The charging indicator glows slowly flashing 'Red' during charging and turns solid 'Cyan' when the device is fully charged. Check your smartphone's charging icon for status.
Notes:
- Compatible with various Qi-enabled phones, including iPhone (7.5W) and Samsung Galaxy (up to 15W).
- Remove protective cases or accessories thicker than 0.2 inches (5 mm) before charging.
- Do not place foreign objects (coins, keys, magnets) between the smartphone and the charger to prevent interference or overheating. A rapidly flashing 'Red' indicator signals a charging error.
14 Charging the Wireless Charging Earbuds
Place wireless charging earbuds on the designated charging pad. The earbuds' charging indicator will light up until fully charged.
15 Charging the Watch
Insert the charging cable (not included) into the watch holder at the back of the unit. Plug the cable into a USB port. Hang your Apple Watch or Samsung Watch on the charging cable, aligning it properly. A chime and charging symbol will appear on the watch when charging begins (unless in silent mode).
The unit includes replaceable silicon rings for the charging cable. Push the center of the charging dock to separate and replace the silicon ring.
Note: This magnetic charging cable is compatible with Apple Watch Series 1-8/SE and Galaxy Watch Active 1/2, Galaxy Watch 3.
16 USB for Charging
Two USB ports (Type A and Type C) are located at the back of the unit, providing up to 5V 2.1A for charging devices like smartphones and tablets via a USB cable (not provided). Power output may vary based on the charging cable, battery, or device's power management system.
17 4-Level DIMMER Control
In standby mode, press the SNOOZE/SLEEP / DIMMER button to select one of the four brightness levels for the display.
18 2-Level LED Décor
Press the LED button to turn the night LED ON (high or low level) or OFF as needed.
19 Changing the Lithium Battery
The unit uses a CR2032(3V) lithium backup battery to retain time and alarm settings during power outages. Replace the battery when the LOW BATTERY indicator flashes.
Keep the AC adapter connected while replacing the battery. Unscrew the battery cover, insert a new CR2032 or equivalent battery, observing the correct polarity (+ and -). Secure the cover. The LOW BATTERY indicator should then turn off.
CAUTION: BE CAREFUL NOT TO LOSE THIS SMALL SCREW!
20 Care and Maintenance
Care Of Cabinets
Wipe dusty cabinets with a soft cloth. For smudges or dirt, use a soft, slightly dampened cloth. Avoid getting liquid inside the cabinet. Do not use abrasive cleaners or pads, as they can damage the finish.
Lithium Battery Precautions
Dispose of used batteries properly. Keep away from children and pets. If swallowed, seek immediate medical attention. Do not attempt to recharge, disassemble, or dispose of batteries in fire.

This device complies with Industry Canada Licence-exempt RSSs. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference, including interference that may cause undesired operation of the device.

22 LIMITED WARRANTY
Emerson Radio Corp. warrants this product against manufacturing defects in material, parts, and workmanship for ninety (90) days from the original purchase date in the United States. Emerson will provide repair service at no charge for labor and parts if a manufacturing defect is verified with proof of purchase.
