Application
This document provides instructions for the BEGA 50 347.6 wall luminaire, designed for indoor use. It features a velvet white luminaire housing with a colored interior hue, directing light upwards and downwards.
Product Description
The BEGA 50 347.6 is part of the "STUDIO LINE" collection. It has an aluminum luminaire housing finished in velvet white, with a matt copper interior hue. The reflector is made of pure anodized aluminum.
Mounting is facilitated by two elongated fixing holes with a width of 4.5 mm and a spacing of 90 x 38 mm. The luminaire includes one cable entry for through-wiring of the mains connection cable.
Key components include a 2.5 connection terminal with plug connection, an earth conductor connection, and an LED module for mains voltage (220-230 V ~ 50/60 Hz). It is equipped with the BEGA Thermal Switch® for temporary thermal shutdown to protect temperature-sensitive components.
The luminaire is classified under Safety Class I and bears the CE conformity mark. Its weight is 0.7 kg.
Safety
Installation and operation of this luminaire must comply with national safety regulations. Mounting and commissioning should only be performed by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper use or installation. Any subsequent modifications to the luminaire will render the modifier as the manufacturer.
Overvoltage Protection
The electronic components within the luminaire are protected against overvoltage according to DIN EN 61547. For enhanced protection against transients, BEGA recommends separate overvoltage protection components, which can be found on their website: www.bega.com.

Installation
Important Note: LEDs are high-quality electronic components. Avoid touching the LED light output surface directly with your hands during installation or relamping.
- Undo the set screw and lift off the luminaire housing.
- Disconnect the LED connection and earth connection (plug connection).
- Pass the power connecting cable through the cable entry in the mounting plate.
- Note the luminaire's application position: "arrow down" ⬇️.
- Fasten the mounting plate to the installation surface using the supplied or other suitable fastening material.
- Make the earth conductor connection.
- Push silicone sleeves over the connection wires and make the electrical connection to the terminal (plug connection).
- Establish the earth conductor connection between the luminaire housing and the mounting plate.
- Push the LED plug into the coupler until it is fully seated.
- Install the luminaire housing over the mounting plate and secure it with the set screw.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers to remove dirt.
Replacing the LED Module
The designation of the LED module is noted on a label inside the luminaire. BEGA replacement modules correspond to the original modules in terms of light color and luminous flux. Replacement can be performed by a qualified electrician or a comparably qualified person using standard tools.
- Disconnect the electrical installation (work without voltage).
- Open the luminaire.
- Please follow the specific installation instructions for the LED module.
- Close the luminaire.
