SRAM AXS Eagle Quick Start Guide
This guide provides essential information for setting up and using your SRAM AXS Eagle components.
SRAM AXS App
The SRAM AXS App, available for free in app stores, allows you to create an account, add your components, and customize your SRAM AXS experience. For comprehensive installation, adjustment, and usage instructions, please visit www.sram.com/service.
Battery Charging
Follow these steps to charge your SRAM AXS battery:
- Place the battery into the charger.
- The amber LED indicates the battery is charging.
- The green LED indicates the battery is fully charged.
A full charge may take up to one hour.
Derailleur Battery Installation and Protection
Proper installation and protection of the derailleur battery are crucial.
Installing the Battery
Insert the battery into the derailleur. When installed correctly, the latch will snap into place.
Battery Protection
Important: Do not discard the derailleur battery block (A) or the battery cover (B). To prevent battery damage or accidental depletion, always install the derailleur battery block and battery cover when the battery is not installed in the derailleur.
Pairing Components
Pair your derailleur and controller to ensure they communicate correctly.
- Start at the Derailleur: Press and hold the AXS™ button on the derailleur until the green LED blinks slowly, then release.
- Pair the Controller: Press and hold the AXS button on the controller until the green LED blinks quickly, then release.
- Confirm Pairing: Press and release the AXS button on the derailleur to end the session. Verify the system is paired by shifting the derailleur in both directions.
Shifting Operation
Learn how to shift gears using your SRAM AXS controller.
Shifting to Larger Cogs (Inboard)
To move the derailleur inboard to a larger cog, press the controller paddle downward. Press and hold the paddle for multiple shifts.
Shifting to Smaller Cogs (Outboard)
To move the derailleur outboard to a smaller cog, press the controller paddle upward, or press down on the forward paddle. Press and hold the paddle for multiple shifts.
Battery Status and Ride Time
The LED on the derailleur indicates the remaining ride time. The color of the LED provides an estimate:
