Devinci E-Troy 2023+ Technical Manual
Slogan: "Welded with Passion"
Location: Chicoutimi, Quebec
Features: Aluminum Frame, Electric System
Introduction
Welcome to the technical manual for the Devinci E-Troy 2023+ electric mountain bike. This guide provides essential information for setup, maintenance, and understanding your bike's components.
The E-Troy is powered by the Bosch electric system and features an aluminum frame, designed for exceptional riding experiences.
Important Information Before Your First Ride
Safety First: Always ride with the battery installed, as it powers the bike's lights. Never ride without a saddle; this could lead to serious injury. Regularly inspect your bike for loose components or damage; consult an authorized Devinci dealer for repairs. E-bikes are faster than traditional bikes, so be mindful of other road users. Refer to the Owner's Manual for specific conditions. Note the 20 kg limit for rear racks.
Electric System Care: Avoid high-pressure washing, as moisture can damage electrical components. Handle the battery with care to prevent electrical shocks or overheating. Perform battery maintenance as per the technical manual.
Battery Handling & Storage: Use only the Bosch charger. For long-term storage, recharge the battery to 100% (4-5 LEDs). Check charge status regularly and recharge if below 20% (1 LED). Check the charge level monthly and fully charge every 6 months. It is not recommended to keep the battery connected to the charger for extended periods. A depleted battery may lose efficiency. Store the battery in a dry, ventilated area, ideally around 20°C, avoiding extreme temperature fluctuations (e.g., in a car during summer or outdoors during winter storms).
Transportation: Comply with local transport laws. Be cautious when transporting the bike due to its weight; check your bike rack's maximum load capacity. Li-Ion batteries are classified as "dangerous goods of class 9" for transport; regulations may limit separate battery transport. Check applicable regulations with your transport company before traveling.
Authorized Dealer: For regular maintenance and expert advice, consult your authorized Devinci dealer. They possess the knowledge and equipment for proper E-Troy maintenance. Contact them for any questions.

Cable Routing
Speed Sensor Cable
Step 1: Insert speed sensor cable into the left inner base cavity at the rear, pass through the base to the front cavity.
Step 2: Insert cable into the motor shell via the left cavity at the bottom of the seat tube.
Step 3: Secure cable at the entry cavity with the provided bracket and screw. (Note: Ensure cables connected to the motor do not impede insertion by routing them against the upper wall.)
Rear Brake Hose
Step 1: Ensure the rubber stopper is in place in the central inner base cavity. Insert the rear brake hose through the stopper and pass it through the base to the front cavity.
Step 2: Insert the rear brake hose into the motor shell via the left cavity at the bottom of the seat tube.
Step 3: Route the rear brake hose diagonally to the head tube.
Step 4: Insert the rear brake hose into the left inner oval cavity of the head tube, then exit through the upper left stopper. (Note: Secure the rear brake hose and speed sensor cable to the base with small ties.)
Rear Derailleur Hose
Tip: Slightly bend the hose end to ease insertion into the base.
Step 1: Ensure the rubber stopper is in place in the right side cavity under the base. Insert the rear speed hose through the stopper.
Step 2: Pass the hose through the base and out the front cavity.
Step 3: Insert the hose into the motor shell via the cavity at the bottom right of the seat tube.
Step 4: Route the rear speed hose diagonally to the head tube. (For E-Troy Led Controller, slide an anti-impact foam onto the hose before inserting into the head tube.) Ensure previously inserted hoses/cables in the diagonal do not cross.
Step 5: Insert the rear speed hose into the left inner oval cavity of the head tube, then exit through the lower left stopper. (Note: Secure the rear speed hose at the base with small ties.)
Seatpost Hose
Step 1: Insert the seatpost hose into the stopper on the right side of the head tube. Route the hose diagonally through the right inner oval opening of the head tube.
Step 2: Route the seatpost hose to the right, diagonally, towards the motor shell.
Step 3: Insert the seatpost hose into the top of the seat tube. (Note: Tension the seatpost hose maximally to minimize space in the motor shell and avoid hindering its insertion.)
Console Electrical Cable
Step 1: E-Troy Led controller: Insert cable through the top cavity of the top tube. E-Troy Purion/Kiox: Insert cable through the upper right cavity of the head tube.
Step 2: E-Troy Led controller: Route cable along the right side of the diagonal to the motor shell. E-Troy Purion/Kiox: Route cable along the left side of the diagonal to the motor shell.
Step 3: E-Troy Led controller: Install rubber stopper on the upper part of the cable into the right diagonal cavity. E-Troy Purion/Kiox: Mount the console into the top tube cavity. (Note: Ensure cables connected to the motor do not impede insertion by routing them against the upper wall.)
Charge Port Cable
Step 1: Position the charge port cable connector in its base located at the bottom of the diagonal. Secure with provided screws.
Step 2: Route the rest of the charge port cable to the motor shell. (Note: Ensure cables connected to the motor do not impede insertion by routing them against the upper wall.)
Cable Routing Overview
The diagram illustrates the routing of all cables and hoses within the frame. Refer to the legend for identification of different cable types (rear brake, rear derailleur, seatpost, charge port, console, speed sensor) and their pathways (external/internal frame, anti-impact foam).
