The following voice command can be used:
- Status check: "Alexa/OK Google, is my window / door open / closed?"
Inserting / Changing Batteries
Press the button on the top of the larger sensor and remove the cover on the back.
Remove spent batteries and dispose of them if required. Insert two new batteries of type AAA, ensuring correct polarity as shown in the diagram in the battery compartment.
Close the battery compartment by reattaching the cover to the rear of the larger sensor.
Installation
⚠️ Warning:
- Before mounting, check that the chosen wall is suitable for the weight. Ensure no electric, water, gas, or other lines run through the wall at the mounting site.
- Do not mount the product above locations where persons might sit or stand.
- It is recommended to attach the sensor to the window or door frame and secure the device directly to the window/door.
- Ensure that the markings (triangles) on the device and sensor are aligned in a straight line and are no more than 10 mm apart when the door/window is closed.
You can either screw the device and sensor in place or use adhesive pads.
If a door leaf or window juts out, the sensor can also be attached to the side, and the device secured flat to the frame.
Integrating Devices into the Hama Smart Home (Solution)
Insert the two supplied AAA batteries, observing the correct polarity. When activating the burglar alarm, the LED should briefly light up blue; otherwise, replace the batteries.
- Press the pairing button for 5 seconds. The LED starts to flash red quickly. If it flashes slowly, press the button again for 5 seconds.
- Open the app and sign in.
- Press the ➕ icon in the top right-hand corner to add a new device.
Warning - Installation with Adhesive:
- All parts are suitable only for indoor use. Do not install outdoors.
- Ensure the mounting surface is free from dust and grease. Use a suitable cleaner from a specialist retailer.
- The adhesive pads are intended to be permanent. Carefully pull the adhesive pad off the mounting surface to remove it.
- Environmental influences (e.g., humidity, sunlight, cold) can impair the long-term stickiness of the adhesive pads.
- Possible residue on the mounting surface after removal of the adhesive pads cannot be ruled out.
Once the connection is successful, the LED stops flashing quickly, and the app confirms the sensor is connected. You can assign it a different name if desired.
Click 'Finish' to complete the process. You can now attach and configure the sensor.
