IKEA RODRET Wireless Dimmer/Power Switch

Product Overview

The RODRET wireless dimmer/power switch is designed to work with IKEA smart lights and plugs. It can be used with the DIRIGERA hub to control smart products via the IKEA Home smart app.

To use the RODRET dimmer/switch, you will need the IKEA Home smart app. Download the app from the App Store for Apple devices or Google Play Store for Android devices.

Note: If you have a TRÅDFRI gateway, please use the IKEA Home smart 1 app.

Getting Started

With DIRIGERA hub:

Download the IKEA Home smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to add the dimmer/switch to your IKEA Home smart system.

Without DIRIGERA hub:

1. Ensure the smart product you want to connect is installed and powered on.
2. Place your RODRET dimmer/switch close to the smart product (less than 5 cm away).
3. Press and hold the pairing button ? for at least 10 seconds. A red LED will appear on the dimmer/switch. The smart product will pulse with a white LED once connected.

Good to know

Without DIRIGERA, you can connect a maximum of 10 smart products to one dimmer/switch. Add products one at a time. If your products are close together, disconnect already connected ones before adding the next product.

Changing the Battery

A red LED light will blink when you press any button on the dimmer/switch, indicating that a new battery is needed. Open the battery lid and replace with a new AAA/HR03 battery. IKEA recommends using a LADDA rechargeable battery, which is sold separately.

Factory Reset

To reset and remove all connected products, quickly press the pairing button 4 times within 5 seconds. Follow steps 1-3 to reconnect your smart products.

Care Instructions

To clean the product, wipe it with a soft cloth moistened with a little mild detergent. Use another soft, dry cloth to wipe dry. Never use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents, as they can damage the product.

Important Information

• The wireless dimmer is for indoor use only and can be used in temperatures ranging from 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F).
• Do not leave the wireless dimmer in direct sunlight or near any heat source, as it may overheat.
• Different building materials and placement of the units can affect the wireless connectivity range.

Risk of explosion if the battery is replaced by an incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to the instructions.
