1. Safety Instructions
The Inmotion L9 electric scooter is designed for personal urban transportation and carries inherent safety risks. Follow these guidelines to reduce risks:
- Always wear a helmet and protective gear.
- Use the scooter only on hard, paved surfaces. Avoid rough terrain, obstacles, and busy areas.
- Respect pedestrians, especially the elderly, children, disabled, and pregnant women. Slow down and alert them when passing.
- Abide by all local traffic laws and regulations.
- Ensure new riders have read the manual and received proper instruction before use.
- Before riding, check for loose fasteners and damaged parts. If the scooter makes abnormal noise, stop using it immediately.
- Avoid riding in wet conditions (rain, snow, ice) or on slippery surfaces.
- Do not ride at high speeds over bumps or potholes.
- Do not hang heavy objects on the handlebars.
- Do not ride with more than one person, or while holding a child.
- Do not ride while fatigued, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or when experiencing emotional distress.
- Do not ride in public streets if not allowed by law.
- Do not touch the motor if it is hot.
- Do not ride hands-free.
- Do not ride through puddles; go around them at a low speed.
- Do not ride up or down steps or jump obstacles.
- Do not use a cell phone or headphones while riding.
- The scooter is not a medical device.
- Do not throw or drop the scooter. Do not place it near open flames or high temperatures.
- Unauthorized modification may endanger safety.
- Do not ride on inclined roads, uneven ground, or near swimming pools.
- Avoid riding in bad weather, low visibility, or extreme fatigue.
- The rider must be at least 14 years old and weigh no more than 140 kg.
- Not recommended for individuals with certain health conditions (e.g., heart problems, high blood pressure, dizziness).

Please carefully check the items in the packing box for completeness and intactness. Contact your point of purchase or email manufacturer (service@imscv.com) if any part is missing or damaged.

- Accessories: Power cable, Allen wrench, Extended air valve, Power adapter, Screws, Folding ring.
3. Product Function Diagram
The scooter includes the following components:
- Handlebar Area: Bell, Throttle, Headlight, Dashboard, Brake Handlebar, Folding Ring.
- Body: Mast, Folding Hook, Footrest, Folding Parts, Front Suspension, Front Fender, Front Wheel, Rear Fender, Taillight, Plate, Rear Disc Brake, Rear Wheel, Kick-stand, Charging Ports.
Dashboard & Power on/off
- Bluetooth display (①): Indicates Bluetooth connection status.
- Power display (②): Shows remaining battery via horizontal bars.
- Speedometer (③): Displays current speed.
- Turning arrow (④): Lights up for left or right turns.
- Start button (⑤): Press and hold for 3s to turn on/off. Short press to toggle headlights. Double-press to switch driving modes.
- Pushing-assist mode (⑥): For easier walking.
- Headlight display (⑦): Indicates headlight status.
- Sport mode (⑧): 'S' for powerful performance (experienced riders).
- Standard mode (⑨): 'D' for common commuting (familiar riders).
- Energy-saving mode (⑩): 'ECO' for beginners.
- Error display (⑪): Indicates a fault; stop using the scooter.
4. Scooter Assembly
- Straighten the mast and fix it. Be gentle with handlebar components.
- Install the head assembly onto the mast. Tighten the 5 screws (2 on each side, 1 in the middle) using the provided hexagon wrench.
- Align the folding ring's hole with the corresponding position on the mast and tighten the 2 screws. Ensure the longer end of the folding ring faces upward.
- After installation, check the power on/off and other functions. Re-check and tighten all screws before riding.
5. Initial Use
Important Safety Note: Before initial use, read the safe driving guide via the Inmotion App. The scooter is not activated by default and may beep intermittently. Activation is required to enable full functionality and speed.
- Install the Inmotion App on your Android or iOS device, register, and log in.
- Turn on the scooter. Bluetooth will be in waiting mode. Connect the scooter via Bluetooth in the App. The Bluetooth icon will remain on once connected.
- Follow the App's instructions to activate the scooter and learn safe riding techniques. You can now use the App to check status and operate the scooter.
Scan the QR code to download the Inmotion App.
6. Connect the Charger
Steps: Open the charging port cover, plug in the charger, and close the cover after charging.
Warning: Use only the original Inmotion charger. Do not connect the charger if the charging port or cable is wet. Damaged batteries or batteries exposed to water should not be charged or used.
7. How to Ride
Please wear safety measures like sports clothes, helmets, knee pads, elbow pads, and other protective tools.
- Press the power button until the ring lights are fully illuminated. Check the battery indicator; charge if low.
- Stand on the footrest with one foot, push off with the other, and begin gliding. The motor activates at 3 km/h. Gently press the throttle on the right handlebar to control speed and direction.
- Gently press the throttle to accelerate. Hold the brake to slow down. Avoid emergency braking. When stopping, place one foot on the ground before dismounting.
Note: By default, the motor and throttle activate only when the scooter is in motion (taxi state) to prevent accidental activation.
8. Potential Safety Hazards
Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious injury.
- Avoid riding in the rain.
- Do not ride at high speeds over bumps and potholes; maintain slow to medium speed on rough roads (5-10 km/h).
- Do not press the throttle while pushing the scooter.
- Pay attention to road conditions and avoid obstacles.
- Avoid hitting high obstacles like door frames and elevators.
- Do not step on the rear fender.
- Do not hang heavy objects on handlebars or other parts.
- Avoid non-standard postures like riding with one foot on the footrest or one hand on the handlebar.
- Do not ride in public streets if not permitted by law.
- Do not turn the handle sharply at high speeds.
- Do not touch the motor if it causes high temperature and heat.
- Do not ride hands-free.
- Avoid puddles; go around them at low speed.
- Only one rider per scooter. Do not ride with others or hold a child. Not suitable for pregnant women.
- Do not ride up or down steps or jump obstacles.
- Do not use a cell phone or headphones while riding.
9. Folding and Carrying
To Fold:
- Power off the scooter. Hold the mast with one hand, press the fold-unlock button, and pull back the folding wrench. Fold the mast backward.
- After folding the mast, press down the folding ring and align it with the hook on the rear end of the footrest. Release the folding ring to secure it.
To Unfold:
- Press down the mast and hold the folding ring until it releases from the hook.
- Straighten the mast and ensure the folding wrench returns to its position tightly.
You can carry the scooter after folding.
10. Daily Care and Maintenance
Cleaning and Storage
- Wipe the scooter with a soft damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a toothbrush with toothpaste and then wipe with a damp cloth.
- Do not use alcohol, gasoline, kerosene, or other corrosive solvents. Do not spray with high-pressure water.
- Before cleaning, ensure the scooter is powered off and the charging port is covered.
- Store the scooter in a bright, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
Battery Dis-assembly and Maintenance
- Do not remove the battery unless necessary. Professional staff should handle tire installation.
- Use only authorized batteries and the original charger.
- Do not touch battery contacts or disassemble the battery. Avoid short circuits.
- Do not expose the battery to fire or water.
- Fully charge the battery before storage. Avoid extreme temperatures during storage and charging.
- Dispose of used batteries according to local regulations.
- A fully charged battery discharges in 120-180 days at standby. Recharge every 30-60 days. Damage from overcharging/undercharging is not covered by warranty.
Warning: Do not attempt to dis-assemble the battery; risk of fire. Unauthorized repairs are prohibited.
Warning: Do not ride when ambient temperature exceeds the product's operating range. Low/high temperatures can cause power loss and increase the risk of falling.
