Product Introduction

The V11 is an electric unicycle featuring an 18-inch wheel, a powerful motor, an intelligent BMS, dual-chamber air suspension, and other notable features. Based on the principle of dynamic balance, changes in posture and tilt are detected by the built-in gyroscope and accelerometer. Simultaneously, the user can control the unicycle by leaning forward, accelerating, decelerating, braking, and leaning forward or backward. To learn unicycling, video tutorials are available on our website: http://bit.ly/Inmotion-tutoroue. You can also watch them directly on the NEW WALKINGS Inmotion France YouTube channel.

Unpacking Your Product

The V11 unicycle packaging includes the following items:

  • An INMOTION V11 electric unicycle
  • A power adapter
  • A user manual (also downloadable from www.inmotion-store.de)
  • Accessories:
    • 2 Wrenches
    • 2 BTR Wrenches
    • Valve Extension
    • Manual Inflator

When unpacking, check the contents of the box. If any part is missing, contact your dealer or INMOTION customer service. Keep the packaging box for returns to customer service.

Charging Safety Guidelines

  • Fully charge your gyrorad before first use.
  • Charge the battery at least once every three months or after two days of intensive use to extend its lifespan. Ensure you charge the battery in a dry and healthy environment. If you do not charge the battery in time, its lifespan will be significantly reduced. The charge level will decrease, and eventually, it may not charge at all.
  • Use only the supplied charger to avoid overcharging.
  • Ensure the cables are connected correctly.
  • Charge in a dry place with good ventilation. Do not expose cables to water or come into contact with water. There is a risk of electric shock. Do not plug in or unplug with wet hands.

Charging Method

The charging port is located on the rear of the unicycle, behind a rubber protective cap. Open the cap and ensure the plug is dry.

Insert the charger plug into the unicycle's charging port. Then, connect the charger to a wall socket (AC 100~240V).

Charging time is approximately 8 hours with one charger and 4 hours in Dual-Load mode (with two chargers).

When the charger's LED indicator is red, your unicycle is charging. When the LED indicator changes from red to green, your battery is fully charged.

Disconnect the charger from the power source and replace the protective cap to protect the charging port from dust or water. Overcharging your unicycle for too long can severely affect your battery.

Additionally, there is a USB output port for connecting your smartphone, for example.

How to Use Your Unicycle

Turning the Unicycle On/Off: Long press the power button.

Front LED Lighting On/Off: Short press the power button.

Rear Light: Always on during riding and blinks when braking.

Carrying Your Unicycle

A motor stop button located under the handle allows you to disable the gyroscopic effect. When you pick up your unicycle by the handle, press the motor stop button. Releasing the button will restore the wheel's normal function.

Trolley Transport

The trolley allows you to easily move your unicycle by your side in crowded places where this type of vehicle is not permitted, such as subways or shopping centers. To use it, step off the unicycle and leave it powered on. Press the release button under the handle to unfold it. A click confirms the trolley is locked. To fold the trolley, press the release button and lower the handle back to its original position.

Suspension

The shock absorption of your V11 is supported by two air suspensions. Check the air pressure before each use. Adjust it as needed with the air pump supplied with your product. The pressure depends on your weight, as well as your usage preferences.

User WeightPressure
Under 60 kg2.7 ~ 4 bar
60 ~ 70 kg4 ~ 5.5 bar
70 ~ 80 kg5.5 ~ 8.2 bar
80 ~ 90 kg8.2 ~ 8.9 bar
90 ~ 100kg8.9 ~ 10.3 bar
100 ~ 120 kg10.3 ~ 11.7 bar

The inflation valves are located under the pedals.

Kickstand

Lower the kickstand to secure the vehicle. Remember to retract the kickstand when you resume riding!

Mounting Your Unicycle

Find your balance by holding onto a wall. Do not rush; be patient. Carefully place one foot on the pedal, keeping your leg close to the unicycle. Try to lift your other foot off the ground and glide forward (like a scooter). Place your second foot on the other pedal once you feel comfortable. Control your movements by using your center of gravity. To move forward, shift your weight forward while remaining upright and relaxed; do not bend at the waist. To slow down or stop, return to an upright position, or to brake quickly, shift your weight backward without bending. Turn by a slight shoulder rotation to the right or left; the rest of your body will follow, as will your unicycle. To easily learn unicycling, video tutorials are available on the website: http://bit.ly/Inmotion-tutoroue.

The «Tilt-Back»

The unicycle is delivered with a precisely set maximum speed. For your safety, when the unicycle approaches its maximum speed, the user will receive the following warnings: 1. The pedal tilts backward between 3° and 5°. 2. Alarm tones sound. Please slow down immediately when these signs appear. Never force acceleration, as you could lose balance and cause an accident.

Overheating Protection

To protect your product and prevent the battery from overheating, the unicycle is equipped with overheating protection. When the battery reaches its temperature limit, the unicycle will inform you via voice alert and by raising the pedals. This prompts you to stop. Turn off your unicycle. The device cannot be turned on again temporarily as the battery needs to cool down. After about 15 minutes, you can resume your ride.

Firmware Update

Park Mode

Download the latest version of the Inmotion Bluetooth app or ensure you have the latest version and that your smartphone has an active Wi-Fi connection. Connect your product to the power supply and turn it on. Position your product in Park Mode. Establish a Bluetooth connection to the product via the Inmotion app. On the "Vehicle" tab, click the small gear icon in the upper right corner labeled "Function". At the bottom of this page, click "Firmware Update" to start the update. Let the application run. At the end of the update, the application should restart automatically.

ATTENTION! Functions may vary from one product to another and depending on whether updates have been performed. The various updates (Inmotion application, firmware, sound file...) are the user's responsibility and should be checked regularly.

Safety Precautions for Safe Riding

The unicycle is a single-seater vehicle. It has undergone rigorous hardware and software control at the factory. If the user operates the device without observing the instructions and warnings in this manual, they may behave riskily at any time and anywhere, leading to falls, loss of control, recoil, injury to others, etc. To minimize this risk, the user should carefully read this manual with the safety instructions and follow the most important rules.

  • Wear protective gear: helmet, knee pads, elbow pads.
  • Beginners should be accompanied for support while they familiarize themselves with the product.
  • Do not accelerate sharply before you have fully mastered the product. Do so gradually.
  • Do not accelerate or decelerate abruptly on slopes (uphill or downhill).
  • Do not ride up inclines greater than 35°. Be cautious on inclines.
  • Be aware of your height.
  • Avoid obstacles and slippery roads. Do not ride on grass or unpaved surfaces.
  • Do not ride on stairs. Do not ride with multiple people on the product. Do not jump while riding. Do not ride on one foot.
  • Do not ride on public roads.
  • Do not immerse in water.
  • For off-road use: For your safety and the longevity of the device, we recommend use in dry weather.
  • Check battery capacity and tire pressure (2.8 bar).
  • Considering the specificities of Lithium batteries, the gyrorad should be recharged at least once every three months. Damage to the battery caused by improper maintenance cannot be considered by customer service. Data is recorded showing the complete usage of the battery.

Maintenance

Storage

Improper storage leads to a shortened lifespan of the Lithium battery and other hazards. The product and charger should be stored in a healthy, dry place at a suitable temperature.

  • Do not expose the device to the sun for extended periods (even in your car's trunk). The battery must not be exposed to temperatures above 50°C, as this could severely damage it.
  • Do not leave your product in a humid environment.
  • If your device is not used, the Lithium battery will inevitably discharge. It will be completely depleted within three months. After this period of non-use, there is a risk that the battery will deteriorate. The warranty will no longer apply.
  • Check the battery performance in winter and recharge if necessary.
  • Improper storage of the Lithium battery will significantly impair its performance. The device must be stored indoors, frost-free, moisture-free, and at a constant temperature between +5°C and +35°C. It must be recharged at least once every 3 months.
  • Fully charge the device before storage.

Cleaning

  • Before cleaning, ensure your device is switched off and the power plug is disconnected. Ensure the protective cap is securely in place to make it waterproof. Do not apply water to the charging port.
  • Use a non-abrasive soapy solution to clean the external parts. Do not rinse with water. Do not wash with a garden hose or a high-pressure system. Simply use a damp cloth for cleaning.

ATTENTION! Moisture can cause damage. If you use the product in damp weather, ensure it dries properly when the gyrorad is upright. Do not charge the device immediately afterward. This product should not be used in adverse weather conditions (such as rain, snow, or ice). Low temperatures temporarily reduce battery capacity. Normal capacity returns at milder temperatures.

Recycling

All electrical devices must not be thrown into household waste but must be returned to a recycling center or a business involved in recycling. You can also return it to your dealer. This way, you avoid environmental pollution and protect the environment. Contact your dealer for information on recycling your gyrorad.

Pumping, Tire Change

Regularly check that the tire pressure remains at 2.8 BAR (max. 40 PSI). To obtain new tires, contact your authorized dealer or Inmotion France by New Walkings.

Traffic Regulations

Inquire with the local authorities in your country. Do not use your gyrorad on public roads.
