Product Description

The NTS-1700 is a 1700W, highly reliable off-grid true sine wave DC-AC power inverter. It features a digital design with MCU control for responsive circuitry, a high-quality fan with low acoustic noise, and a peak power capability of 3400W. The inverter offers adjustable AC output voltage and frequency, operates within a wide temperature range of -25°C to +70°C, and includes comprehensive protection features. It is suitable for use in residential, commercial, marine, automobile, mining, construction sites, and remote areas lacking utility power. The output can power various devices including fans, TVs, radios, phone chargers, PCs, laptops, lighting, induction stoves, air conditioners, electromechanical tools, communication equipment, and more.

Derating Curve

The derating curve illustrates the relationship between ambient temperature and the maximum load percentage the inverter can handle. For DC input voltage, specific derating is shown for 10Vdc, 20Vdc, and 40Vdc inputs across their respective operating ranges.

Ambient Temperature Derating: The inverter can operate at 100% load up to approximately 40°C. Load capacity decreases linearly from 40°C to 70°C, reaching about 50% load at 70°C.

DC Input Voltage Derating: Specific derating curves are provided for 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc input voltages, showing load capacity relative to input voltage levels.

Remote Control and Communication

Remote Controller (Accessory)

Optional remote controllers (IRC1, IRC2, IRC3) serve as monitoring and control units. They decode RS-232 signals from the inverter and display information on digital meters. LED indicators on the controllers show:

  • Orange LED: OFF
  • Red LED: Abnormal Status

RS-232 Communication

The inverter's internal data can be accessed via RS-232 communication. The required communication cable (RJ11-RS232) has order number DS-RJ11-RS232 and must be ordered separately.

Remote ON-OFF Control (Built-in)

The inverter features a built-in remote ON-OFF control via the remote port. A dry contact connection is used:

  • Open connection: Power inverter ON (Normal work)
  • Short connection: Power inverter OFF (Remote off)

DIP Switch Settings

The inverter's AC output voltage, frequency, and power saving mode can be adjusted using DIP switches (SW1-SW4) located on the panel. Factory settings are typically 110Vac/60Hz.
