Warranty Registration
To activate your warranty, please complete and return the enclosed warranty form. Keep your dehumidifier's serial number handy for the registration process.
⚠️ Safety Notes
- Electrical Connection: Always connect your Galaxy Series Dehumidifier using a grounded electrical connection. Using non-grounded wiring will void the warranty and transfer liability to the owner.
- Maintenance and Repair: Only qualified technicians should handle maintenance and repair to ensure proper care and performance.
- Proper Orientation: Operate the dehumidifier on a level surface. Using it in any other orientation may lead to water flooding electrical components.
- Moving the Dehumidifier: Always unplug the dehumidifier before moving. If there's a possibility of water flooding, allow the unit to dry thoroughly before reconnecting power and restarting.
- Clearance Requirements: Maintain a minimum of 6 feet clearance for the inlet and 36 inches for the discharge. Position the discharge away from a wall and the inlet parallel to a wall for optimal air diffusion.
- Safety Precautions: Do not insert fingers or objects into the inlet or discharge. All work should be done with the unit turned "off" and unplugged.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the exterior. Do not use water, soap, or solvents. Unplug the unit before cleaning.
- Usage Caution: Do not stand on the machine or use it as a device to hang clothes.

ELECTRICAL SUPPLY
Power Supply: 115 V, 60 Hz AC, Single Phase
Outlet Requirement: 3-Prong, GFCI
Circuit Protector: 15 Amps
⚠️ WARNING: 240 Volts AC may cause serious injury from electric shock.
To minimize the risk of electric shock, please adhere to the following guidelines:
- Disconnect Power Before Servicing: Always disconnect the electrical power supply before servicing or performing maintenance.
- Grounded Electrical Circuit: Plug the unit into a properly grounded electrical circuit to prevent electric shock.
- Avoid Using Extension Cords: Do not use extension cords. Plug the unit directly into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Avoid Using Plug Adapters: Refrain from using plug adapters to maintain safety standards.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE
Overview
The Galaxy Series Dehumidifier uses an integral humidistat to monitor environmental conditions and maintain optimal humidity levels for enhanced comfort.
Functional Description
- Humidity Monitoring: The integrated humidistat continuously monitors the relative humidity in the conditioned space.
- Activation Trigger: The dehumidifier activates automatically when the observed relative humidity surpasses the preset target.
- Evaporator Coil Operation: Air is drawn across an evaporator coil maintained at a temperature lower than the dew point of the air.
- Moisture Condensation: The cooler coil causes moisture to condense, extracting excess humidity.
- Reheating Process: Air passes through the condenser coil for reheating before returning to the room at a comfortable temperature.
INSTALLATION
Pre-Installation Preparations
Before installing, ensure the area is properly sealed with a vapor barrier. In crawl spaces, seal all vents to enhance unit effectiveness.
⚠️ WARNING: Corrosive Environments
Avoid installing in corrosive environments. If using liquid vapor barriers, ensure they dry completely through "solvent evaporation." Ventilate the installation area thoroughly before proceeding.
Step #1: Placement
Position the dehumidifier on a level surface using blocks or spacers. Allow 2 hours for the compressor to settle if the unit was not kept upright during transport.
Step #2: Drain Line Setup
- Insert the water pipe into the drainage outlet.
- Direct the hose to a drain or container.
- Ensure the drain hose is unobstructed.
- The water pipe must be lower than the machine.
OPERATION
Controls and Display
The dehumidifier features ON/OFF, MODE, and SET buttons for operation.
1. Plugged In - Shutdown Mode ?
When plugged in, the display shows "Unit OFF," indicating readiness for powering on.
2. Dashboard - Humidistat Mode ?️
While dehumidifying in Humidistat Mode, the display shows: Temperature and Relative Humidity (RH)/(GPP), Set humidity value, and "Dehumidifying" status. (GPP refers to Grains per Pound, RH to Relative Humidity).
3. Standby Mode
In Standby Mode, the display shows Temperature and Relative Humidity (RH)/(GPP), and the Set humidity value.
4. Defrosting ❄️
The display indicates when the machine is undergoing a defrosting cycle.
5. Compressor Protection State ⏳
The display informs the user that the machine is in a compressor protection state, awaiting the compressor to run.
6. Coil Temp
The screen displays the coil temperature, providing real-time operational information.
7. Continuous Dehumidifying Mode ✅/❌
The default mode is Continuous Dehumidifying Mode "OFF." Press the Set button to toggle between On/Off. If continuous mode is turned off, humidistat mode is automatically activated. When continuous mode is activated, the appliance runs continuously regardless of humidity.
8. Humidity Control Mode ?
Users can choose between two modes: Relative Humidity (%RH) or Grains per Pound (GPP).
9. Humidistat Set Point ?️
Adjust the set point for %RH (35%-90% in 1% increments) or GPP (20-200 gr/lb in 2 gr/lb increments) using the Set and Next buttons. The machine operates when ambient humidity exceeds the set value and shuts down when it falls below.
10. ❗ Fault Codes
Code | Description |
---|---|
HI | High temperature alarm |
LO | Low temperature alarm |
E4 | Water full alarm |
E5 | Refrigerant leakage |
E3 | Abnormal coil temperature |
E1 | Sensor fault |
11. Status Icon ?
The pipe mode icon requires controller connection. The network status icon indicates connection status (not lit if not configured, flashes if configured, solid if normal). This feature is for Wi-Fi versions.
