Setup Steps
STEP 1: What's Required
Before starting, ensure you have the following:
- A smartphone or tablet running iOS 9.0 / Android™ 5.1 or higher.
- A 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network with an active Internet connection.
- The BroadLink RM4 TV mate device powered on, with its LED indicator flashing intermittently.

STEP 2: Get the BroadLink App
Download and install the latest "BroadLink" mobile application from the App Store or Google Play onto your smartphone.

STEP 3: Sign In to the App
Launch the BroadLink APP. Navigate to "BroadLink account" and sign in. If you do not have an account, tap "Sign up" to create one. For enhanced convenience, you can optionally link your account with an Apple ID or Google account for faster future logins.

STEP 4: Wait for Auto-Discovery

STEP 5: Add Device

If your brand is found but no specific option matches your device, you have two alternatives: Select "Learn button" to bypass the matching and proceed directly to Step 9.1 (IR code learning). STEP 9.1: Learn IR Code
Point the original remote control of your appliance directly at the BroadLink RM4 TV mate. Wait for the device's LED indicator to illuminate, then briefly press the button on your original remote that you wish to learn.
