Science Tips
The sounding part of the music box is mainly composed of two parts: the drum and the reed. The principle is that the spring drives the roller with small protrusions on the surface to rotate. When the protrusions pass the reed (first slowly raise it, and then suddenly put it down) to vibrate the reed and make it sound. The reed of the music box is a large steel plate that is cut into thin strips of different lengths. The drum is equivalent to a music score. Due to the difference in the bumps, the pronunciation is naturally different. With the controllable speed, the drum rotates for a period and completes the song.
